Why do you assume God is going to bring back America? The only nation with a promise is Israel. The Bible seems to suggest all nations will fall to the deception which includes America. America is not biblically special. Unless you actually are Mystery Babylon but that means active judgment and being destroyed.

I know it is painful but we have to accept that the West is dying. There is too much rot.
While America is not specifically mentioned in the Bible, I believe she figured richly in God's plans. When Great Britain abdicated her role as defender of the world's weak and proclaimer of the Gospel to the nations, America took over. And I believe she still has a role to play, broken and bruised as she is in the spiritual battlefield. Her situation today is much like Israel's of old when they allowed the riches and comforts provided by God's rich blessings to deceive them into thinking they earned all those things by their own hands.

God is calling the truly saved in America back to repentance and prayer. There is still work to be done around the world and He wants His people to step up. Hopefully we all listen and obey. If we humble ourselves and repent and turn from our wicked ways, He will hear and use us. We may be but a remnant, but little is much when God is in it.

It's definitely a very good and important article but it will be received by most of America (and the rest of the world for that matter) on deaf ears and likely violent/raging hearts.

I still don't think America is Biblically significant. God used it for sure, but there isn't a special plan for it.

I agree. I think, like so many great powers in the past, we have had our moment, the bulk of Americans are No longer believing and the fruits of our collective apostasy have been ripening for years. God did not ever turn his back on us, America turned it’s back on him. The sun is now setting on the United States of America and I think we will shortly be distracted by the kind of civil upheaval we have not seen in this country since the 1960’s.

I would love to be wrong about this..but I feel it will shortly be time for Israel to retake it’s main place on the stage.

Wow, that was quite blunt and to the point. But I feel you are right.

I agree with what you have written ... but with this proviso— it will not reach the bottom until the Rapture has taken place. Until then, I still think America is important in the proclamation of the gospel around the world.

I guess I don't understand Americans giving themselves such significance. My husband went to seminary in the States and he found that the strangest thing. He made waves when he told his classmates that God doesn't care that they are American. I agree with him. I consider myself a patriot and I also love the States and think it is a great country. I just can't see them being special spiritually. I don't understand. Sorry. Not trying to be antagonistic. I was sincerely offended when Jack Hibbs did that patriotic play during his July 4th Sunday service. I normally support him and his political views but separation of religion and politics is very important to me. That was God's time. Not America's.

I do feel like I have forgotten the point of this thread, LOL.
