Yes, I have noticed that the word “prejudice” is rarely used anymore. I’m curious as to why. Isn’t prejudice and racism essentially the same thing?

Prejudice can relate to anything, like olive types, for example. I think racism relates to skin color/nationality.

I will be so happy when we are all together in Heaven because we will be the Body of Christ and not separated by skin colors. There will be no black neighborhoods, white neighborhoods, Chinatown, Italian neighborhoods, etc. This world is so wicked and Satan is using our differences to cause hatred, fear, and lawlessness.

I don't think there is anything wrong about congregating into groups with people who have a common background.

The problem we have in this world is to then try to categorize those groups into better than or worse than.

In God's House I expect we will go to different cultural neighborhoods and celebrate our differences instead of denigrating them.

As a black man to me the word "prejudice" is a more passive term, while "racist" is a more aggressive term. For example, a prejudice white person may refuse to allow a black person to attend their party. A racist white person will call a black person names and may even harm them in some way. The reason the word prejudice is not used anymore, is because it does not get people as angry. Black Lives Matter and their friends want everyone to get into their emotions and get them as angry as possible with hate!

Prejudice just being a preconceived notion on anything (sports team best painter etc etc)

Racist is regarding skin color (or ethnicity)

I'm blessed that I was able to spend time in many parts of the world and become familiar with so many different cultures. I really enjoyed that. Wherever I went I would experience as much as possible. Dress, mannerisms, cuisine... it all interested me.

The age I was born into marginalized God.
I grew up(in the 60's) watching morality erode publically as people pushed God out of everything except church. Church was where each family would go every Sunday to act like a Christian, then once out the door, they instantaneously reverted back to human reasoning than Godly.
This reasoning of man was arrogant and separated themselves from Biblical principles that God established for us. This erosion led to our slow decline. At this point the world, black, white, red, yellow, brown is hopelessly lost.

One of my best friends is a married black woman with 2 young twenty something kids. she and her husband are Christian and totally oppose BLM. Her son was interested in it, and she gave him a good lesson about it. Look at what's on their website, look at the videos of rioting and destruction, look at the people being killed, look how there is more white people out there than blacks. (she also gave me the lesson and I'm on her side) She asked her son, what if they destroy your car or our home? What if one of your friends is killed over this?
she also told him that old white people are paying for this and just getting young people to do the dirty work they want done. I applaud her efforts. Her son lives at home, goes to college and has a job. I think he will turn out OK.

One of my friends is a black family man who immigrated to America from Ethiopia when he was in his teens. His kids might listen to some rap music, but they are very respectful when speaking to others. He told me he does not allow his kids to hang out with American blacks, and he even forbade them from speaking "ebonixx". They have since grown, graduated from college, and are productive people with families of their own. Now they're raising their children the same way they were raised.

I am black and I agree and disagree with what was said in this thread. (Although I did not read through the whole post, so I might have missed something.) I do totally agree what was stated as facts. However I do not agree with what is currently the root of the problem we have now. It is not a black or white thing, it is a spiritual thing!

Most if not all of you have seen a magician doing magic tricks. One of the most amazing things is when they seem to transport themselves from one place to another. We watch in amazement saying to ourselves how did they transport themselves? The answer is they didn't! Magic works via deception. It tells you what to watch and believe even if it is against what you know to be the truth. This is exactly what Satan does!

What we are experiencing today is mass deception! Why do I say it is not a black or white thing? Because a large amount of white people are behind the Black Lives Matter movement. Why, because they are deceived! When someone is deceived, truth does not matter anymore. So while I totally agree that blacks have it far better than in the 60 and 70, that does not matter to someone deceived. There is really no need to even bring color into the problems we are having. What about the deception regarding the Cops? It is all the same spirit. The spirit of the Devil and the Antichrist to come.

Am I against what Robert Campbell said? Not at all, he is right on the money! I am just saying the root of our problems has nothing to do with race and everything to do with evil. Nothing to do with truth and everything to do with lies. Satan is up to his same old tricks. Notice they call what a magician does "tricks". Yes, Satan has not changed and is doing just what he did to Eve, which is deceive with lies. Only this time he is doing it on a much grander scale!

Thats what scares me about today...truth doesn't matter anymore and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do about it....that just baffles me.

I did an independent study on racism in grade 10 back in the 90s and those were the definitions I came across. Prejudice could also be linked with stereotypes. Only an active, conscious hatred with intended bad actions were true racism. The changing of definitions is frustrating and being called ignorant for not going along with the gaslighting is as well. It was only a highschool project but I studied it extensively, the texts I chose were definitely anti-racism. Some were progressive. My dad had to talk me down from getting too worked up and regain perspective and not let others manipulate my emotions.

I know I hate racism. I know some of the darker aspects of our history. I know I have to bear some false accusations. I just want to protect my kids from this nonsense. And no one can stop me from being kind/polite to everyone I meet. That is my act of defiance in these dark days.

Here is my advice. Pray for them and with them. Teach them who Jesus is. Stay/walk in the Word. God will do the work; it is all spiritual war after all.

Easier said than done, I know, but this is the only way as the post-Christian era progresses and things get tougher as we get closer to Christ's return.

Unfortunately the way the political machine is configured, this doesn't matter. If you are against a minority for any reason at all, it is because of their race and that makes you are a racist. People need to stop being afraid of being called a "racist."

It's pretty obvious that no matter what anyone does now that is perceived negatively by a certain person of a particular race or people group, they are labeled a racist. Notice how the word prejudice isn't even used anymore.

The fear of being labeled a "racist" is what gives these parties power over us... Take away their power and they have no control.

Only you and God knows if you are a racist or not. We shouldn't let name calling bother us. Sticks and stones may break our bones but words will never hurt us.

I think ONE thing that is good that may come out of this fiasco of a year is that the “race card” will die..it’s been soooo overplayed (and unjustly, inappropriately played) that nearly everyone with a functioning brain understands it’s nothing more than a meaningless insult on a par with “bootlicker” that the left uses to attempt to shame people who just don‘t agree w/them.

“uR a rAcIsT!!!” has lost it’s meaning and hence it’s sting. Everyone knows that now.

I do not doubt that there are, indeed a few bonafide racists in our nation but they are in all colors and the evidence I see of late seems to support that Black racism towards Whites is actually FAR more common..I mean , how often do we hear about white kids and young adults just hauling off and knocking out a black elderly person on the sidewalk just for kicks?

We see this now on at least a monthly basis if not more often. It’s sick. It is SO blatanlty obvious that black people who act this way actually hate themselves and their own culture. They seem to think punishing white people for the hate And loathing they have for themselves will somehow fix it.

But as he says and our precious brother Goodboy reinforces-- it is a spiritual matter at root. Therefore, only a spiritual response will "solve" the problem. As has been famously said: "No person stands taller than when they are on their knees before God in prayer."

Why do you assume God is going to bring back America? The only nation with a promise is Israel. The Bible seems to suggest all nations will fall to the deception which includes America. America is not biblically special. Unless you actually are Mystery Babylon but that means active judgment and being destroyed.

I know it is painful but we have to accept that the West is dying. There is too much rot.

I think God does not want us to give up on the USA. I know anything is possible but I think it is best to stay positive. What will be will be but I have heard from many solid Christians that they believe God may be pouring out His Spirit on the nation. I get this feeling too. After all, evil usually over-steps itself (it's the nature of pride) and there is usually a push-back when things go too far (we can see this happening). Not knowing the exact time of the rapture means we need to be open to anything.

I think we will be able to make a much better "educated guess" when the end of 2020 rolls around.

We can stand on the Truth. Individually we might not make a big impact, but by holding to the Truth we act as a restraint. That Truth being tossed away in this world might well be a sign that we're at the end here and will soon be going home.
