America Is Not Exempt From Judgment

Looking carefully at Ezekiel 38, Gog has an evil thought against the "land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates," which I think refers tho the US and Canada, and which means we're still under God's protection, at least to a certain extent (probably due to the presence of, and for the sake of, The Church)
Im not sure how you get USA and Canada out of the below? The below is in reference to Israel safely dwelling without walls.

Ezekiel 38
10 Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— 12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.

Unwalled villages, no bars or gates. No walls around cities, towns, or villages. Wide open and undefended. The villages and towns I saw in Israel had walls and gates. Most were very old, but the Kibbutz are modern and at least the residential areas and usually most commercial walled in. Many also have at least partly walled agricultural. There was an uninterrupted Jewish presence in Israel, even during the Babylonian Captivity, Diaspora, etc. Also occupied in part by muslims/Arabs.

Canada and US populations gathered from many nations around the world.

North America was fairly sparsely populated by mostly nomadic people when Europeans got here and modern population building.

US and Canada citizens very wealthy in goods and cattle and live all over, not just on the coasts. Even poor people here are wealthy by world standards.

In spite of crime, etc., the U.S. is still a very safe place to live. Villages, towns, cities, and states don't raise armies and navies and go to war with each other. Atlantic and Pacific Oceans have protected/insulated Canada, U.S., and other American countries from World Wars and other conflicts involving the rest of the world. Not so, Israel or anyplace else.

The young lions protest Gog invading and demand to know if they've come to take prey and spoil. Everyone seems to forget how exposed the northern part of Canada is to USSR/Russia and Alaska ditto. Russia/USSR needs lots of resources.

Associated with people dwelling safely in the isles. Whether that means Great Britain, Australia, or North and South America, I don't know, but I suspect it at least includes at least North America and probably South America. We're wicked, but historically in modern times predominantly Christian heritage. The existence of North and South America was unknown to people in the Middle East during Bible times, and evidently God wanted it that way. Referring to the western continents as isles (albeit big ones) makes sense geographically and in keeping with hiding their existence.

Of course, I could be wrong . . .

I am curious what it will take for Israel to feels secure and not need walls up. I went there in 2018 and it was crazy how many walls are around Jerusalem due to security concerns. It was like being around a prison with the barbed wire at the top.

I have heard Brother Andy Woods speculate that the peace treaty made by the AC will make Israel feel secure and protected, if I am remembering correctly.

The entire passages you site are clearly talking about an invasion of Israel, not the USA. “Coming to take spoil” is a reference to the reason why the invading coalition invades Israel. Regardless of what state of security Israel is in now, Ezekiel is only describing what the state of security will be at the time of the invasion. Dr Arnold Fruchtenbaum in his book “Footsteps of the Messiah” wrote there is nothing in Ezekiel that does not describe the state of Israel since 1948. Ezekiel 38-39 Gog-Magog is not about an attack on any nation other than Israel.

This discussion has moved from the contents from the OP. However, a good side bar discussion.

At least Biden has dementia. I wonder what Trudeau's excuse is? I guess we can blame the fact that his mother was on who knows what sort of concoction of drugs while pregnant with him.

Perhaps you can find America in the “isles” in v6, but ‘the land’ being spoken of is absolutely Israel. I don’t know what happens to the walls and gates, but apparently they will come down. Likely as a result of the covenant being confirmed.
