Am I the only one sick and tired of seeing Porn in the SuperMarkets and Grocery stores???

Freed By Christ to Serve Christ
I had a gentle but firm conversation with the Manager of Walgreens this week about the front cover of the magazines on open display for children of all ages to peer at. Glamour has a Topless woman on the front cover!!! At small child height. She said there was nothing she could do about it. I am checking in to find out how to get some law or something passed to ensure that these magazines which also promote filth in the article headlines can be at least covered up by law! I am sick of it. My wife and I both have now confronted managers of several occasions in the last few months. Am I the only one concerned? It is bad enough that our children are exposed to immorality on TV because parents do not censor the programming or even at school, but to display the filth openly as if it is perfectly moral is out of the question. And we wonder why there is so much teen pregnancy. It's time to take a stand!! It is as if we are telling our children, teens and young adults to look at the naked bodies all you want but please do not touch. All it makes a boy and girl want to do is experiment. May God have mercy!!

God Bless!

I agree with you!! This world is getting so corrupt it feels that everytime you go anywhere its like walking through a garbage dump. The only clean places anymore are church and home!!

I'm right there with ya! I don't shop with my own kids for that one reason. Cosmo is always covered up, but I have noticed that the other magazines have turned into smut as well.

The morality of this world has reached gutter proportions. Even skincare commercials show women parading around in their underthings.

I know and some of the adverts that have skintly clad girls or even nude girls for products is ridiculous, anything to sell, and they put nude woman on.

Like Lot (2 Peter 2:7) our souls and spirits are vexed by the filthiness around us.

Some Canadian provinces and municipalities have had success passing laws to ensure that such magazine covers are covered or out of site of children and others who do no wish to see them. The laws seem to work.

Yes, the laws should work, but the wallet works better. Actively boycott the store, along with friends, etc. Also, write letters to the corporate headquarters, they don't want this kind of thing to go viral, they can't afford it.

Well we get told we are nothing more than animals, sexual animals. Not that I fell like it justifies anything. I was listening to a radio program by AFR and the man on the air was talking about the fact that they went to the managers of the stores and asked them if they could cover and or move the magazines with controversial covers. There was only one supermaket that said no.
