After the Rapture

I read so much information about what happens after the Rapture that now I'm getting a little confused and need clarification.
1. Dead in Christ rise first....they receive their immortal body. Where were their souls/bodies before the Rapture? We hear that we'll see Jesus when we die, but where is that place? Is there a "holding place"? So when the Rapture happens, do they arrive from that place and not in the air to see Jesus? Then they go to heaven.

Will they stay in heaven at the Millennium? What is their role?

2. The church is raptured and we're alive and meet Jesus in the air. Then we go to be with Him in heaven. Will we go into the Millennium? If not, what is our role?

At the second coming who rides the horses behind Jesus? Which of us who were raptured will do this?

3. Tribulation saints are slain. Are they in heaven? Do they have immortal bodies? Do they get to see Jesus, family, etc?

Then, at the Millennium they will be there to procreate the earth. They will have a role or just be a family?

Will tribulation survivors who took the mark go into the Millennium?

I may have missed some things, but want to be sure of what will happen to witness to my unsaved family.

A lot of questions and some we don't specifically know; I'll share some of my understandings and others can expound, clarify or offer other information.

1. Pre rapture - We die and our bodies go into the earth - ashes - sea where ever. Our spirit goes to be with Christ. Some call this asleep(our body only) waiting for the resurrection of Christ's call at the rapture of the church.
Where is it? - In Christ's presence, in heaven. It appears to be a special spiritual place as the new body is not available yet.
Somewhere in the resurrection of the rapture, spirit and body are united and we who are alive join them, instantly changed into our own body fit for living with Christ.

During the millennium there is interaction of Saints with survivors of the trib. It may be limited to new Jerusalem and it appears to be a judgement role.

2. Our role is to live our new life in Christ. To explore that life and praise our Savior in eternity. Exploring our mansions and fellowshipping as never imagined possible.
As the army is wearing the same garb as the bride [the church] they may very well be the same. As this army only witnesses Christ battle Rev 9, I9-21, do not think it is angelic yet it is in heaven waiting for this day. It may be these are the many who in some form suffered much because of their faith and they ride behind Christ proclaiming HIS justice.

Revelation 19:7-16 HCSB

7 Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory,

because the marriage of the Lamb has come,

and His wife has prepared herself.

8 She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure.

For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.

9 Then he said to me, “Write: Those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb are fortunate!” He also said to me, “These words of God are true.” 10 Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow slave with you and your brothers who have the testimony about Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony about Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

The Rider on a White Horse

11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True, and He judges and makes war in righteousness. 12 His eyes were like a fiery flame, and many crowns were on His head. He had a name written that no one knows except Himself. 13 He wore a robe stained with blood, and His name is the Word of God. 14 The armies that were in heaven followed Him on white horses, wearing pure white linen. 15 A sharp sword came from His mouth, so that He might strike the nations with it. He will shepherd] them with an iron scepter. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty. 16 And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh:
KING OF KINGS
AND LORD OF LORDS.

Question 3.

Revelation 6:9-11 HCSB

The Fifth Seal

9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the people slaughtered because of God’s word and the testimony they had. 10 They cried out with a loud voice: “Lord, the One who is holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?” 11 So a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told to rest a little while longer until the number would be completed of their fellow slaves and their brothers, who were going to be killed just as they had been.

This is a special group. They have a special place in heaven. They have died for their faith and now join the saved and receive a white robe and continue their rest in Christ.
More are expected to join this group. They are with the church in the presence of Christ.

As for our existence in heaven, I expect reunions, weeping over some of the lost and healing. There is no longer marriage but there will be families. Most of this new existence we cannot fully conceive.

Revelation 14:10-12 HCSB

10 he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is mixed full strength in the cup of His anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb, 11 and the smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or anyone who receives the mark of his name. 12 This demands the perseverance of the saints, who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.”

No one who takes the mark survives. No heaven No new kingdom.

Those who survive the tribulation are subject to the Saints under the Kingship of Jesus. It may well be only the 144000 sealed survive as some scripture leaves little to no room for survival. Rev 9:20 [A third of the world killed and the rest did not repent.]

Revelation 20:4

The Saints Reign with the Messiah

Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge. I also saw the people who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of God’s word, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with the Messiah for 1,000 years.

That was alot and I probably missed something. So We should keep exploring God's Word.

Good questions. Here are some quick answers. I'm sure others will be able to add to this.
1. Review 1 Corinthians 15:35-58. When death occurs the body goes into the grave, soul/spirit goes to be with the Lord (2 Cor.5:1-8) We receive some sort of celestial body different from the one we will receive at the rapture. There is not much info on this. We will go to where Jesus is in heaven where He has prepared a place for us (John 14:1-3). Heaven is our "Holding place". At the rapture, those "dead in Christ" will be re-united with their bodies from the grave that have been transformed into immortal forever bodies and join those who are alive at that time to meet the Lord in the air. I believe this is when the Judgement seat of Christ judgement takes place and we spend 7 years with our Lord awaiting the end of the great tribulation period. We will then mount up on white horses to return with Jesus to earth which will be His second coming (Rev.19:14)
2. We (all who are in Christ, His bride, the Church, the body of Christ) will be those on white horses and will go with Jesus into the millennium period to rule and reign with Him on the earth. (Isaiah 32:1; Rev.5:10)
3. Trib. saints are not members of the body of Christ, the church. They are saved members of God's Kingdom (Rev.6:9-11). John saw their "souls" beneath the altar. I don't think they have immortal bodies yet at that time. They converse with the Lord, but are consummed with the happenings going on during the great tribulation so don't think they will be worried about families etc. I just don't know. I believe that only those who survive the great tribulation alive will go into the millienium a vast majority of which will be Jews among which will be gentiles too who will procreate etc. Those who receive the mark of the beast will be cast into hades awaiting the Great White Throne Judgement of Rev. 20:11-15. Then they will be cast into the lake of fire with satan and all who are not written in the Book of Life. (Rev.14:9-11). Again, these are quick answers and I probably missed something but someone here will add to it. Remember that the unsaved can only receive those things that the Holy Spirit reveals and the most important thing you can share with them is the Gospel. End times things will pique their curiosity but it is the Gospel that saves. Blessings my friend.
