This world is not my home!
Greetings to my Family of God!!
I was researching the indoor pool that resides within The Biltmore Estate (North?Carolina). In doing so, I came upon a different link with the title, "The sin of being psychic- spiritual insights from a psychic Christian". I'm unclear if this was a personal blog or a forum of some sort, but the important point is that LOTS of other people were sharing their personal views on this topic, in relationship with what is written in God's Word. I read this rather lengthy dialog and after about ten minutes, I realized that this "Issue" could be more widespread than I imagined.
And it is very dangerous {imo} because they are stating, in essence: I am a Christian who loves The Lord with all of my heart and mind, I only seek to glorify His name, alone. I have been given the gift from God as a true psychic and while I know my gift comes from Him, I do not believe The Bible is the absolute Truth of God; it contains errors because 1) it was written by men, not God [error], 2) It has been translated, by mere men once again, many times, therefore it is not a trustworthy source.[error] 3) We know what The Bible says about conversing with people who have psychic power, but God wasn't talking about Christians because it was God who gave US our psychic abilities.[this is a man-made opinion and not supported in God's Word]
WOW! I would say 98% of the other people believed in this woman's stance and supported her and all she had to say. There were 2 people who tried to share the actual Truth, providing Bible scriptures, vice simply a human opinion. It failed because these people felt The Bible contains many errors [see points 1&2 above].
With that said, how would YOU respond to this apostasy [imo]? Or do you feel it is Scripturally sound to state that one can be both a Christian AND a psychic who received this power from God?
My heart says this is not of God, but I a human and prone to error. I brought this here to hear from my fellow brothers and sister in Christ. We know that those with "itching ears" are now ubiquitous within The Church...
Love, Mish
