A "Great Revival" before the Rapture?

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
That's the 1st verse I thought of and that has been preached on by some solid pastors to let us know that things are not going to get better but will get worse as we draw to a close.

However, I do believe that the true Church-all born again believers around the world might begin looking more like the 1st century church before Jesus calls us home. I'm not referring to miracles at all but I'm referring to the persecution of believers and underground churches.

as I've listened to many videos post election there are people who claim to be Christians believing that we ALL are God's children and the cabal are all the evil people. This one guy's idea of the word of God and the rapture is

"God's children (he's referring to all humanity except the evil cabal) have been sitting around for 2000 years waiting for the rapture to occur. Christ is going to plant his feet on the ground and say my kids you've forked up the whole world-you [expletive] [screwed-euphemism] it up and you think I'm gonna save your behinds? That ain't gonna happen.
If people want Trump to save us, Trump cant save us from what we need [to be] saved from. And that is being buried in a low frequency level in a descension state where we're here supposed to be ascending spiritually. That doesn't happen unless we have this shift.
They call it a consciousness shift, a shift of the realization of what human beings are here for. The reason we get it screwed up here on earth is because we think we are human beings having a spiritual experience when we are spiritual beings having a human experience the cell (Journey of the souls). So, this great awakening is still ongoing." end quote

So, basically, he denies reality, he denies what the word of God really teaches about evil, sin, salvation and the rapture. For many in desperation to make this world great and defeat "their enemies", there will I believe be a coming together of all religions just before the tribulation. It will make sense to people and many people will buy into this deception. Christians will I believe be in their way. The deception will be great as many will believe they are doing the right thing and best thing to save humanity and this planet. -Just my thoughts

For many it will be easier to believe this shift in consciousness than to believe in the rapture. The O.T. gives us a few examples of the rapture such as Enoch and Elijah. The Rapture is mocked nowadays. There are people who hate the rapture. I've listened to a popular teacher on endtimes and they are receiving hate mail and death threats because of their teaching and belief in the rapture. I never thought in my lifetime anyone claiming to be a Christian would threaten other Christians like that.

I'm not so sure they'll be no Jews outside of Israel in the tribulation so that's ddifficult to be the case but it could be something to do with the 144,000 from every tribe that goes through the world preaching, just my opinion.
Do you mean no Jews outside of geographical Israel?

If so, Remnant Israel will not be in Israel when they flee to Bozrah, which is in southern Jordan. (Revelation 12)

Are the 144000 witnesses people that came to Christ after the rapture? They surely must be else they would have been snatched.
They come to belief in Messiah Jesus either shortly after the Rapture, or shortly after the confirmation of the Covenant with Israel.

The Bible says they are sealed by God before the judgments that hurt the earth are sent.
This means that they will be sealed before the Second Judgment begins at the latest that we can determine.

I do believe nothing is impossible with God. But with little scripture to support this claim, your teacher's rigid belief is concerning. What does she think of Kingdom Now and New Apostolic Reformation theology?

I am always of the opinion that we should be very careful when trying to justify our opinions without scriptural evidence - especially as teachers. The teachers that I respect the most are not afraid to say "I don't know."

The ways of God are too complex and too great for us to understand what is not written.
We haven't discussed it much because she's only made the occasional comment. And she's not a teacher. We meet in her home and we're going through a book unrelated to this. I don't want to get into a debate with her, but when appropriate I've stated my belief in the millennial kingdom happening when Jesus returns after the Tribulation.

We have three weeks left in the study. Maybe at the end I'll have a one on one talk with her.

Wow. That is some weird theology!
I've seen hatred expressed toward the rapture before, mostly from preterists like Hank Hanegraff. Also, people from a mainline protestant background weren't taught it and it goes against their very non-miraculous view of Christianity, and it bothers them to be associated with people who believe in such things.

Adam and Eve experienced a consciousness shift when they listened to Satan instead of God and ate the forbidden fruit.
And Humanity has been experiencing the results of that consciousness shift ever since then.

They did not become as intelligent and powerful as God, which is what Satan told them that the forbidden fruit would provide.

Its possible, but the majority who will be saved come out of the first half. IMO, by the time of the MOB, there will not be too many left who will refuse. The ones who turn to Jesus will do so at the beginning, out of those still around a mid point, many will have hardened hearts. Yet, many believers will survive and make it through the entire 7 years.

Im just thankful many will be saved at some point during the tribulation, because if the rapture happens today, several of my family members will be left behind.
When the AC breaks his covenant with Israel, one third of the global Jewish population will flee to Bozrah. They are the Remnant who will survive the Great Tribulation. They will be in unbelief until close to the end when they recognize Jesus as the Messiah and cry out to Him to rescue them.
Two thirds of global Jews will be martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ and refuse the MotB as prophesied by Zechariah.

They are the brethren who will be martyred during the Great Tribulation.
The fellow servants are the gentiles who will be martyred at the same time.

What he doesn't get is that every dispensation has ended in failure of mankind. Of course he probably denies that there are dispensations and the church has replaced Israel.

This gives me a bit of insight into my small group leader's thinking. She is convinced that a revival is starting to happen, and that we're going to be mentoring all these young people. Also, that everything in the US will be godly again really soon.

Meanwhile, I'm seeing wickedness and blindness grow.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I do not see anywhere in Scripture where "everything in the US (or anywhere) will be godly again real soon." That happy circumstance will not occur until Christ returns to rule. In the meantime, the character of society will grow more and more wicked ... which is what you already seeing. This will not change.

Yes, there is a great revival occurring worldwide (as I referenced in my previous post) but it is not like the country-sweeping revivals of the past. It is individual souls scattered around the globe coming to Christ. Altogether there may be millions, but we may only see small groups of a few dozen at best. And it will definitely not change the face of society ; society is headed to Hell in a hand-basket

Sadly, the bulk of the churches today are Laodicean-- lazy, insular, self-satisfied, and in many cases apostate. But the true Church, the Philadelphia church, is alive and active and seeing God's word bear fruit. Both churches often inhabit the same building. Regardless of the name on the signs outside, inside Laodiceans and Philadelphians sit side by side. But God knows His own. And good pastors strive hard not only to ensure that the saints are being equipped for service, but to ensure that all who sit under their preaching and teaching have made true heart commitments to Christ.

Thessalonians 2:1-3

The Great Apostasy

2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of [a]Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
I believe the closer we get to the coming of Christ, the church and this generation will be drastically deceived as we can see today. It is the remnant in the church that sees these things come to past which gives us hope and peace.

It's not me who thinks that. It's the facilitator for my group.

Am referring Ezekiel 39 v 28 where the Lord says I will bring them back leaving none behind, this I'm assuming to be in the tribulation, after the a.c. commits the desecration of the temple God will allow them to be in bozrah or Petra for that matter.

Now I understand your meaning.

IMO, all the Jews will return to the Land before the mid-Trib. The 144,000 will not stay there the entire Trib because they are busy spreading the Gospel around the world.

Then when the AC breaks the covenant, one third will escape to Bozrah.

Exactly how long it takes is anyone's guess, absolute minimum I'd say would be months, even couple of yrs or longer.

Could there be a revival? It’s entirely possible. Will there be a revival? Personally I’m doubtful. My wife is a news junkie. She watches OANN, Newsmax, Fox and a lot of Cspan. I hate watching the news. But the few times I watch it just confirms to me that the world and America is heading to hell in a hand basket. A pre-rapture revival would be a true miracle in my humble opinion.

That's what I think will happen too! :ring
It makes sense to me, seeing how the Tribulation Saints serve a different purpose in eternity from the Church. They occupy a lower station in their service to God (not intended by me as a put-down!; we rule and reign with Christ while they serve in the temple), so it makes sense that their group would possibly be larger than ours.

And that makes me think the Rapture is going to have to come before the globalists can enact their depopulation agenda. Any unbeliever who dies now would go straight to hell rather than having the opportunity to be saved or become a Tribulation Saint.....

Yes there will absolutely be mass death during the Tribulation but I believe God is going to want to bring that about Himself via His sovereign acts of judgment rather than letting Satan's followers claim credit. It's possible the Gates depopulation (if God allows it to go through at all) might be part of the 4th seal, perhaps?

Hello! Talking of revival I have always wondered about this passage: Matthew 7: 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it". The two don't seem to sit together well, if only a few will find the path to life how can most find the path to life in huge revivals? However there are still people finding the narrow path to life even in post-Christian Scotland, the angels in heaven rejoice over each one. Each soul saved is a victory. God Bless All :)

The only thing I am seeing parallels to is the roaring 20s. There may be a increase of economic growth but it would parallel the 20s with a crash tbh. This could be a return to normalcy and covid19 is reduced in concern. Already seeing signs of "Peace and Safety" I started noticing something off a few years ago.
