Y’all, move to south central KY (Franklin/Bowling Green/Scottsville/Glasgow, etc). We are only an hour from Nashville, have two hospitals in Bowling Green and one in Glasgow. Super affordable with low cost living, affordable housing, active population with lots of parks, National Park nearby, lakes etc. It’s a bit southern with Midwest transplants due to GM plant here, home of the corvette. We love it!!! The beautiful rolling countryside, low taxes, friendly people and mild climate are all a winning combo!
I also just happen to be a realtor here. And interestingly enough, majority of the people I’ve talked with who are moving here from up north have stated that the cold weather and liberal policies are what make their decision to move south. Lot of them decide on the area after driving through. They just fall in love with it.

Yeah the humidity there and the weather patterns have kept me from considering Florida as a possible state to re-locate to.

Two good hurricanes and they’ll move back. I saw it when Hurricane Andrew hit, and again many years later, the year that 4 hurricanes hit Florida and all crossed through Frostproof.

Two weeks without power, a gazillion mosquitoes, 90 degrees with 87% humidity and alligators crawling through the yards, they feel that Seminole wind and flee North!:croc

:waveAnother Floridian here, strongly considering taking the money and gettin get out of dodge, & taking Mom with us. Been thinking about it a while anyway, because I can't stand how congested it's been getting.
But we were considering Tennessee....do you know someone who lives there, who has told you it's getting wrecked? One of the reasons we had considered it was because it was not on the list of top 10 where Californians are running to.

I'm really hoping that a lot of the people fleeing California are the conservatives and they will turn swing states solid red.

I have never seen so many out of state license plates during the summer as we did this year!!!
I have read that many people have relocated to the Nashville area. I think if you stay away from the big cities in Tennessee you will find many of the people are conservative and Christian in the rural areas and smaller towns. My husband and I have talked about possibly relocating to eastern Tennessee should the liberals turn Florida into a garbage dump.

Kentucky sounds lovely too. I love that Kentucky is part of the Bible belt with good values. That would be another area we might consider if we decide to leave Florida.

I remember that year we had 4 hurricanes! (Charley, Ivan, Frances, and Jeanne) My house lost power for 2 weeks and then we got hit with another hurricane and we lost power for an additional 2 weeks. :groan

Luckily, it was cold outside and no need for the AC..........Dont you love high humidity with no AC...we had that for a few days once in NC due to a hurricane.

Eastern TN and Western NC, nice areas. We spent time at a few RV parks in Asheville NC.

Just as long as they leave their toxic politics behind!

Could this virus have been part of a plan to conquer the red states by encouraging liberals to seek refuge there? Kinda like bringing people from the third world to come and vote for them.
I think so!

My brain was so fried last night I didn't understand what you meant until later, about finding something "most excellent." That's what you meant right? The only home that will Ben "most excellent" will be Heaven?
Oh, no, I was talking about some most excellent real estate in regards to whatever home and land that you may purchase if time persists.
