Montana Governor Greg Gianforte on Wednesday signed legislation to ban the Chinese-owned TikTok from operating in the state, making it the first US state to ban the popular short video app. Montana will make it unlawful for Google and Apple's app stores to offer the TikTok app within its borders. The ban takes effect Jan. 1, 2024. TikTok, which has over 150 million American users, is facing growing calls from US lawmakers and state officials to ban the app nationwide over concerns about potential Chinese government influence over the platform.

I wonder if it's similar to the first bill congress was working on, which supposedly doesn't mention TikTok but leaves it wide open to allow lots of sites to be banned in the future.

There are two things that the Chinese are interested in setting up outside of China. 1. Things that make lots of money for China. 2. anything that gets lots of information from countries that will improve China's stance while destroying the rest of the non-China world. They cannot be trusted.

Gen Z is the target, and it is likely to establish social credit scores on Americans. Because by the time Gen Z is old enough to be business owners, China may well have taken over the US, and they will conveniently already have social credit scores established for most people of consequence because they naively gave it to them by being a TikTok user.
