Space Travel after the Rapture

I just finished watching "Mars" on Disney +. It is sort of a combination of a documentary and a SciFi.
I grew up in Florida and paid a whole lot of attention to space shots. I looked forward to space shots and used to really document the shot. I used to be a fan of space and thought we would be on Mars by 2000.
But since I accepted the concept of Rapture I have thought about this a bunch. Christians will be gone and many countries will experiance serious disorder and reorganization. Our national debt is through the roof and sustaining it may be impossible after the Rapture. The debt stays the same but now there will be far fewer people to pay it. With Christians gone there will be thousands and thousands of deserted cars and houses. I believe this will trigger a real estate recession and cut the selling price of used cars.
And the AC wants everyone left to worship him. I don't think space exploration will be part of his plans. Exploring space is very expensive and there will be fewer people to pay the big bill.
So my thought on this is space travel will move to the back burner. I don't think we will be going to Mars anytime soon.
What are your thoughts about this?

time.

I believe that the best time to explore other planets is when we're in our eternal bodies and using technology suitable to those bodies. We will probably be able to explore during the Millennium too. I look forward to seeing and experiencing more of God's creation than I could ever have dreamed of as a short-lived, financially limited mortal.

What do you mean by technology? The Creator and Master of the universe doesn’t need technology. And I think the word shows we won’t need it either in our transformed bodies.

Precisely. Mortal man won't have any time for space exploration after the rapture.

We however will have all the time in the world.

So, who's up for a dirt buggy race across Schiaparelli crater?

Thinking about what John Hartnett said in The Waters Above about Genesis 1 and the KBO possibly being the remains of the vapor canopy, and satan being the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2), I'm thinking maybe he's already looked around the solar system, at least some, so no need to use puny man to explore it.

I think if you asked me even 5 years ago I would have agreed with you. I would have echoed the massive national debt numbers and the sad state of our government. I would have said a major feat like going to Mars is not possible. Our government can‘t even secure our borders or properly maintain infrastructure on this planet.

That kind of thinking makes one big assumption that I’m not completely convinced is valid. It assumes that the only entity capable to fund and execute such a project like going to Mars is the government.

That may have been true 60 years ago but in 2023 and going forward I believe it will be industry that will drive these kinds of efforts. Elon Musk has a goal to send several people to Mars. I don’t think you can rule out that possibility. It just takes time and a lot of money. I don’t think Elon will be looking to any government for help other than the need to be left alone.

The question I have is this: is there enough time for these companies to push towards the goal of space travel before the Rapture? I don’t know but I don’t think mankind isn’t that far away from legitimately being able to use technological advancements to explore and even inhabit other planets.

To summarize I’d say no to space travel such as going to Mars if the government has to be involved because I have zero faith in the government doing anything positive. But private industry and academia include very smart individuals that are working on such exotic technologies such as warp drives, time machines, and others. The rate limiting step for many of these projects is the energy (and money) needed to be successful. We also need newly educated scientists to carry the torch into the future but will that happen given the state of our universities?

I can’t imagine what breakthroughs are possible in say the next twenty years if intelligent minds are left alone to do research. The problem is that academia is more concerned with activism than teaching science. Governments are more concerned with optics and identities than solving problems and balancing budgets. Christian institutions are more concerned with conforming and membership than spreading the true Word of God.

Our future is bleak on this earth not because it isn’t possible to send people to Mars. It is bleak because as a nation we are failing to educate the next generations so they can invent the things we never thought were possible in our lifetimes. We’ve also turned away from God as a nation so the US is doomed to self destruct. But all this “equity, diversity, and inclusion“ is more important right?

Let’s be honest: the progressive left is winning the culture wars. They will fight for socialism, abortion, and a very anti-man agenda. Eliminating men from everything alone will eliminate a lot of innovative ideas and thinkers that could solve problems like how to get people to Mars. Instead, we’re only a couple of years away from graduating two women for every man. Good luck waiting for major technological advancements if you have to rely on women to do it all and you think socialism is the right direction. There will also be zero innovation in a socialist economy because there will be zero incentives to innovate. This is not new information.

Did you mean women aren't as capable in STEM, etc., or were you pointing out the waste/loss of brainpower by fewer men graduating than their percentage of the population (about 50 percent) would predict?

However, I do agree that things have gotten so PC that all sorts of talented people ARE being shut out. Medical school admissions have been this way for decades, which is why medical schools are and have been flourishing in the Caribbean (one such school is why so many American students were on Grenada in 1982).

And I think the anti-man part of the agenda is directed at heterosexual men, not all men, and is part of a larger anti-traditional, married, heterosexual couple (with or without children) family (with or without elderly parent(s)).

In its attack on the traditional, married, heterosexual couple (with or without children) family, the agenda is also very anti-woman (XX). Men pretending to be women in women's sports, perverts in the bathrooms and locker rooms, gender "reassignment surgery," socially encouraged and forced abortions, stealing resources from women's health care to pay for perversions and abominations, changes in women's clothing (including underwear!) fit and sizing to "accommodate" pretend women and effeminate homosexual men, PC and traditional preferences in hiring, promotion, etc. shutting heterosexual White women (XX) out, pregnancy and labor and delivery benefits in some medical plans being reduced below even adequate levels, home kitchens with ridiculously tall counters obviously intended for the comfort of significantly taller people (maybe in response to demands of "married" gay men), spreading sharia, more social pressure toward promiscuity and single motherhood, skyrocketing rape rates (not just muslim-involved), reduced reporting, more statistical hiding, and reduced prosecution rates of rape, reduced prosecution, skyrocketing domestic violence, skyrocketing human trafficking and sex slavery (virtually all women and children), etc., etc., etc., are only the tip of the iceberg. Lots of other stuff going on, but family-friendly board, so not going to elaborate.

The agenda is anti-child in that the law more and more treats children as prey to be exploited by other children, teens, and adults for their own sexual pleasure, as inconveniences to be offered and slaughtered on the modern-day altars of baal/molech in abortion "clinics," buying and selling of sperm, eggs, and embryos, and indoctrinating in PC instead of providing proper education.

The agenda is anti-seniors and elderly via health care rationing and outright denial, ending issuance of lifetime long-term-care insurance policies and allowing skyrocketing premiums on such existing policies to both pay for skyrocketing costs and subsidizing the far more limited currently-issued long-term-care policies, not providing help for adult caregivers in the same ways provided for parents taking care of children, allowing horrible price gouging in medical devices generally used by seniors and elderly and paid for by Medicare, and stealing from the Social Security trust fund.

This anti-man, anti-woman, anti-child, anti-elderly, anti-traditional, married heterosexual couple family agenda is really anti-God, for He made us male and female, instituted (heterosexual) marriage and procreation, ordained the number of each of our days, and declared that not honoring our parents, murder, and adultery are sins and homosexuality is an abomination.
