Jews Replaced by the Church – Not So!
By Dennis Huebshman
Genesis 12:2-3: And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, and so you shall be a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you ALL the families of the earth will be blessed.
Genesis 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and your descendants, I will give all these lands and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham (to Isaac).
Genesis 28: 13-15: And behold, the Lord stood above it and said I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac: the land on which you lie I will give it to you and your descendants…..Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. (to Jacob/Israel)
Another, 2 Samuel 7:16: Your house and your kingdom shall endure before me FOREVER: your throne shall be established FOREVER. (to David)
Acts 3:25: It is you who are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers saying to Abraham “And in your seed, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Peter to Jerusalem Jews.)
These verses prove the Jews are God’s chosen people, and His covenants with them DO NOT EXPIRE. Regardless of what anyone says, once Israel became a nation again on May 14, 1948, the covenant was and is still there. Some evangelicals are teaching the Jews were replaced by “Christians” after the crucifixion of Jesus. That just isn’t so! Romans 11:25: “I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” Yes, it’s estimated that only about 1% of the world-wide Jewish population is Messianic, however that will change and every one will finally believe Jesus is the Messiah. It will come at a very high price though.
Slowly but surely, the entire world is turning against Israel just as the Bible said it would before the Ezekiel 38/39 war. With our current President, there has been an improvement in our relationship with Israel, but major happenings in the world could cause that to change. Our previous administration caused some major shifts between the U.S. and Israel.
What’s happening in the middle east is as the Bible prophesied. Jerusalem is becoming a focal point. (Luke 21:20 and the book of Zechariah.) Outsiders who say they’re going to “give” it to the Palestinians haven’t read God’s word – The Bible.
Gentiles were always included as long as they put their faith and trust in God. When Jesus gave us the ultimate sacrifice, our covenant was sealed by His blood, and the Church age began. This did not eliminate ANY covenant God had made earlier. It only added a new covenant.
It means that once the Church (all believing persons regardless of denomination) is taken out by the Rapture, God will give Special Attention to the remaining Jews. A large percent does not accept Jesus as I mentioned above. This does not mean God will abandon them as it would make Him a liar, and God does not lie!
It would be wonderful if all of Israel and Jews worldwide would accept Jesus now before this terrible time. God knows it will have to be proven to them just as He proved over and over throughout the Bible that He means just what He says. Because of their unbelief, they wandered the wilderness for 40 years instead of what would have been about an 11-day trip. Because of worshiping other gods, they went into Babylonian captivity for 70 years. They were scattered all over the earth for unfaithfulness for over 2000 years.
Even so, the covenant stands. May 14, 1948 the clock started ticking the countdown to the end of this age. God said once they returned, they would NEVER be taken out of their land again. In 1967 it got even closer with the retaking of Jerusalem. And now, it has been recognized as the true Capital of Israel by an American President just as it was first recognized as a nation by another American President.
It will come to a point that all will seem hopeless for Israel, but God says He will protect them, not for their sake, but for the sake of His name.
My hope and prayer is ALL who see this believe in Jesus and accept Him as their Savior. ALL who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10/13) That’s the Blood Covenant Jesus gave at Calvary.
The clock is winding down – the alarm may sound at any moment. In the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52) is a very short period of time. I have actually heard someone say they would hold off until they hear the sound of the trumpet/shofar, and then would accept Jesus. Problem is, by the time anyone knows the Rapture is happening, it will be over.
If you wish to gamble, buy a lottery ticket. If you want your final destiny to be heaven, Accept Jesus Now!
