Feeling the Urgency

Feeling the Urgency
By Dennis Huebshman

Watching all the headlines today, faux and real, and then reading the messages being left on the various end times sites (i.e. Rapture Forums, Prophecy Newswatch and Rapture Ready to name a few), there is an air of something very major and imminent about to happen. Yes, there is a lot of civil unrest in America and around the world, and even a confrontation about to take place at our southern border; Israel is being blamed as always for everything that happens in their area; and Christianity is being openly attacked just about everywhere.

However, all this is minor compared to what serious end-time prophecy people are feeling. The messages being posted are leaving little doubt that we believe the Church’s (True Believers) time here is about over. Romans 11:25, the fullness of the Gentiles, is very near. There is not a day that goes by that in my prayers that I fail to say, “Today would not be too soon, Father.” And then He reminds me of 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow about His promise as some people understand slowness, but is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to repent.”

Not wanting anyone to perish is not about death here, but the “eternal death” in the Lake of Fire as given in Revelation 20. As for His patience, we can never fully understand all the qualities our Father has, because our patience runs thin with all the antics of some people and groups here. Just seeing certain people dress up as “body parts” and parade and protest in public would be enough for me to cause the shutting down of the human race. All the abuse, murder, hate, mayhem and every other sick activity that’s openly taking place would cause me to “Shut out the lights – the party’s over!”. I’m glad He’s God, and I’m not; He’s the judge, and none of us are even slightly qualified, especially me.

Rethinking 2 Peter 3:9, it comes to my mind He is seeing, and has always seen, every evil act that has ever happened on this earth. For Him to love His creation so much that He would send His Son to die for us is totally amazing. (John 3:16) It’s not because we’re so good as Romans 5:8 tells us that He sent Jesus while we were yet sinners; and still are. It’s not because we’re so righteous, because all have sinned and fallen short. (Romans 3:23)

There is coming a time, and the very second is known to the Father, when 2 Peter 3:10 will take place. “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.” That takes place at the end of the Millennium, just before the new Jerusalem and new Earth are in place for all eternity. Then, all those who honored God before the Cross, and all who accepted Jesus from the Cross forward will enter their eternal Home with Jesus, to be with Him forever. This has nothing to do with organized religion, but individual relationships with the Savior.

Prior to that, and also is known only to the Father, is the exact moment when a trumpet/shofar will sound and a shout from an Arch Angel will be heard, and all true believers will rise up to meet the Savior in the air/clouds. This is the next event on the prophetic clock to be competed, and no other action is needed to precede it. By the way, it’s calculated that the Rapture will take less than one second to complete as Paul told of a “blinking or twinkling of an eye”. (full text 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-53.)

It should be noted that Jesus said in Matthew 24:36 that the day and hour are not even known by the angels, and Mark 13:32 goes even further and includes the Son (Himself) as not knowing. I believe that the second the human Jesus died, and the God-Jesus reclaimed His full Glory, He became fully aware of all the Father knows about the Rapture and when His actual touch-earth time will occur. Hebrews 2:7 and 9 tells us He was made “lower than the angels for a while”, which He voluntarily gave full control to the Father and Holy Spirit in order for Him to experience being a human. John 10:30, “The Father and I are One!”

Shortly after the Rapture takes place, and again the timing is in the Father’s hands, there will be a period of 7-years that this earth will experience Tribulation, also known as the Wrath of God. It will start out at a relatively slow pace, and increase rapidly in intensity all the way to the final conflict at the end. From the ½ way point, or 3 ½ years, the antichrist will be fully indwelt by satan, and the misery that will be inflicted on the Jews and new believers will be unparalleled.

At the time Jesus physically sets foot on the Mt. of Olives and shuts down the rebellion with just a word, only a remnant (1/3) of the Jewish population will be left. They will be 100% Messianic at that point. Zechariah 14 and Revelation 19-20 describes the Lord’s victory, and Revelation 20:11-15 describes the Great White Throne Judgment and the Lake of Fire.

There are a lot of people in the world today that are described by 2 Peter 3:4, “… and saying, where is His promised return? For ever since our ancestors died, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation.” These are the “blatant scoffers” that we’re seeing all over the world today. Satan’s evil lies are being believed such as, “Did God Really Say?”, and false prophets are in many organized church services, which are more stage productions than Bible study. Feel good messages are abounding and non-condemning messages are an every Sunday thing, and inspiring music that is just to get the emotions up. After all, we don’t want to offend anyone and lose membership or contributions, do we?

There will be a heavy price for these ministers of evil at the White Throne. James 3:1 is a warning that “teachers” will be judged more strictly.

We were not given a day or time, but we were given signs of how this world would be signaling the “season” of the Rapture, followed by the actual 2nd. Coming of the Lord. Everything that was given by Jesus and Paul and others is here now. With evil that used to be kept in secret becoming open and blatant, it’s as if the secular world is saying to God, “I dare you!” After He does take action, the tune will most likely be, “Why am I still here?” There will be some who will say that because they went to every church service available, and gave money to the church and charities and are such a good person, they should’ve gone with the rest. Problem is, they bought into the lie that there’s many ways to heaven besides Jesus, and John 14:6 was conveniently skipped over.

It’s up to each of us to call on the name of the Lord and chose Him to be our Savior. The promise is that all who call on Him will be saved. (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13) All who do not call on or accept Jesus will be totally separated from Him as given in Revelation 20:11-15. One cannot have their name in the Book of Life if they’ve never accepted, “…the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE” who just happens to be Jesus -John 14:6.

All of this is why the Holy Spirit is leading the messengers to get the word out, so people will know what their options are. There are only two options; Accept Jesus and have a Heavenly Home with Him forever; reject Jesus and be in the Lake of Fire being punished forever. There is no third option.

He’s waiting for your call, and He won’t turn you away. You alone must do the asking as no one else can do it for you. Time is getting shorter and shorter, so please consider asking Him into your heart today.

Maranatha!
