The Antichrist: The Future World Dictator
By Chris Schang
The Bible foretells of a future world leader who will rise up in the end times and rule the Earth. He is known in prophetic circles as the Antichrist, but the world will see him as the leader they have always wanted. This man will be the most ruthless and cunning world leader ever. The Bible tells us that the Antichrist will rise up from the area of Western Europe as the coming prince of darkness is described as originating from the “people who destroyed the temple and sanctuary” as foretold in Daniel 9:26. This is of course the Romans as recorded by historians.
The coming Antichrist is called many names in the Bible including the Lawless One, the Man of Sin, and the Beast. The Antichrist will first rise up likely during a period of global crisis, such as the end of the Ezekiel 38-39 war when God intervenes to destroy Israel’s enemies, over what is the revised roman empire of today – the European Union. He will eventually rule over the entire earth as foretold in Daniel 7. The Bible warns us that the influence and power of the Antichrist will be so great that no one, rich or poor, will be able to buy or sell without the diabolical mark of the beast. The mark of the beast will actually be Satan’s seal of ownership over a person as they will have pledged allegiance to him as a result of taking the mark of the beast. Once a person takes the mark of the beast, they will have decided their eternal fate which will be in the lake of fire and away from the presence of God. This mark will be a counterfeit form of the seal of God that will protect his servants during the Tribulation period. Satan wishes to have his own seal, a counterfeit one, showing those who belong to him.
The Antichrist will be a great political, economic, and military genius. He will rise to power with the promise that he has the answers to the world’s problems. But this will not be the case. The Antichrist will fool many and by the time of the Abomination of Desolation as foretold in Daniel when his true identity is known once and for all, it will be too late for many.
After the rapture of the church and probably after the Gog Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39, the antichrist will begin his rise to power while the world is in political, economic, and military chaos. The Antichrist will eventually have a partner who is oftentimes referred to as the False Prophet. The False Prophet will help to call men to worship the Antichrist until the time when the Antichrist is revived from a fatal head wound and brought back to life by Satan. At this time Satan will indwell the Antichrist and demand that all of mankind worship him as God on Earth. The False Prophet will be another sinister counterfeit in that he will be part of the satanic trinity. In the satanic trinity Satan will play the part of God, the Antichrist will play the part of the Son, and finally the False Prophet will play the part of the Holy Spirit. Just as the Holy Spirit leads men to worship God, the False Prophet will lead men to worship Satan as indwelt in the body of the Antichrist. Satan has always wanted the worship of men that belongs to God. During the Great Tribulation, or last three and a half years of the 70th week of Daniel, Satan will use the Antichrist to receive that worship that he so very much desires.
The Bible gives a warning to those who miss the rapture of the church and find themselves in the Tribulation period. The warning is to not accept the mark of the beast under any circumstances. The mark of the beast will likely be tied to the diabolical and infamous number of 666. The Bible warns that the number 666 is the number of a man who will eventually become the next world dictator or Antichrist. To determine the name of the Antichrist when he rises, his name will add up to 666 using Gematria from either the Greek or Hebrew language. For those who are left behind, this is the clue they will need to recognize the Antichrist and to heed the warning to avoid taking the diabolical mark of the beast.
The question for many to ask themselves is do they have Jesus Christ in their lives and are they saved so they will be spared the coming Tribulation period or 70th week of Daniel? If the answer to this question is no, then I would seriously advise that person to make a decision for Christ today. For tomorrow maybe too late. Turn from your sins and recognize the need for a Savior, ask God for forgiveness, and believe on the completed work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. If you are genuine in your repentance and belief, then the Lord will send his Holy Spirit to indwelt you and comfort you, while guaranteeing you that you have eternal life. Don’t wait to make a decision as the rapture of the church can happen at anytime, and if you miss the rapture of the church then you’ll be left behind to go through the Tribulation period with the Antichrist. Don’t wait to get saved, do it today while there is still time.
Call on the name of the Lord and you shall be saved. God bless.
