Your Sin and a Righteous and Just God

My Wife is German and she loves the idea of me going into the mountains and climbing to get her an “Edelweiss Flower”. It truly is one of the Lords prettier blooms, yet…I am hard-pressed to climb a mountain to get one. I do indeed love my Wife and the Lord knows this, but I am not a Mountain Goat, nor do I have their dexterity at climbing! All though, this feat is known relatively everywhere, the fact remains, it has been known to bring disastrous results.

The aspect of Sin in our Lives, is somewhat the same idea. Let’s take a look. One could use a chain to hold them over the ledge of the mountain, yet the chain is only as good as it’s weakest link. A braided rope is the same with one weak strand and a helicopter with it’s weakest blade. Everything is lost if that one weak link breaks at the most crucial of times.

Our Salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ, shed for us on the Cross of Calvary, is the ONLY thing that can save us Eternally. It MUST cover every single Sin we have committed in our Life. There is no “Curve of the Lord” to use, there is no squeaking by, or sliding in unnoticed! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is GOD and HE knows absolutely everything, about everyone. Be sure that HE takes absolute perfect account of our Sin and whether His blood covers it or not. We must be very clear on this point, we must be absolutely certain we have come to Him for His Salvation and Forgiveness of our Sin. Anything short will spell disaster!

Isaiah 64:6-9 “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.”

Hosea 5:15 “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.”

Proverbs 28:4-5 “They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.”

Proverbs 28:9 “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.”

Proverbs 28:13 “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

1 John 1:6-9 “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

The Word of God, the Bible, is rife with examples concerning our Sin. I would have to admit that it is the second most important concern, that the Bible has. It is our Sin, the forgiveness of which, that allows us into Heaven with the Lord God, there is NO other way. The Blood of Jesus Christ MUST cover our Sin…or there is NO heaven for us. It is that Simple and straight forward.

There are many Pastors or Ministers that love to stand in the pulpit and expound how wonderful life is with Jesus Christ and they are correct in this. Yet, if they do not tell every single truth about our Sin, then all those that listen are sunk! The Gospel of Jesus Christ tells us of His Love for you and I and then it must go on and explain that Sin will separate us from this Love and our Eternal Salvation to Heaven. And more importantly, we must understand, that this is about every single Sin there ever was or is in our Life. There are NO exceptions to God’s Law on this matter, it is absolute in every way!

Now there are a lot of people that hear many things in Church, but they need to get this one area in the most understood manner possible. I liken this to, trying to swim with a 50 pound ball and chain around your neck. There is no way you will survive! Yet the Pulpits today, tell of everything imaginable and are consistently short of this subject matter concerning Sin. I have to wonder, what will be their excuse as they stand before the Lord God?

Everyone must understand the Bible is concise and extremely to the point. Salvation must be according to the Holy Word of God or there is no Salvation and again it is one way or the other, there is no in-between. It must be understood, our Sin separates us from God and the Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross is the ONLY thing that will save us. The Blood of Jesus Christ is the ONLY thing that can cover our Sin and make us acceptable before a Righteous and Just God.

Every single Born-Again Believer already knows the Humiliating and Humbling experience in our Salvation, caused by our recognition of our Sin. We must come to the Lord Jesus Christ and tell Him of our Sin and Transgressions before Him and ask for His Forgiveness. It is imperative to do so! It is you and I that are of a Fallen Species, filled with Sin and it is the Cross that we must go to and nail our Old sinful selves to. That is the exact spot where our Sin is then covered and left behind and it is also the exact spot where we find our Freedom. We are no different than anyone else, except that our Sin is covered by His Blood and we are forgiven.

NO forgiveness of Sin = NO Heaven = No Eternal Salvation = the Lake of Fire = Your Choice

Then the statement must be, we are all Sinners and fallen before a Righteous God, therefore we must find a way to get rid of our Sin. This is the reason that the Word of God talks so much about a “Wise Man”, when that man comes to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As I have stated many times before, a Wise man will seek out knowledge and an ignorant man is too lazy to do anything. No one wants to be seen as ignorant or stupid, but you would be surprised to notice how many will not take a moment to read the Word of God. Far too many people rely on what they have been told by others, so the question then is, “Were they told the Truth?” So in like manner let me ask you, “Do you know the truth concerning your Sin, before a righteous God?”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
