The Watchers on the Wall Will See…

I have been up and wide awake this morning since about 0300 hrs and it is now about 0500 hrs, simply reading and listening to the Word of God and digesting what I have read and heard. This has been an eye-opening period of time for me and thus I see why the Lord woke me, to the silence of night, to ponder and think quietly about HIS Word the Bible.
My Friends and Family, as of late, I have been discussing the Deaths of everyone and our consequence because of Sin in our lives. To a greater degree, I have been discussing this for the Lost and yet it is important for the saved to regard the importance of Death, in the light of Salvation and the Lost. We do indeed have a great deal of work to do for the Lord. For the Born-Again Believer, Death is not something we fear, because we know we have the Lord with us at every turn, yet the Lost fear Death because for them…there is nothing to look forward to…except more Death. Indeed, our labor is before us continually!
On that note, I will begin to look at the Word of God, that few pay any attention to and I will try and form a picture in everyone’s mind of what we will be facing in these “The Last Days.” I will begin with the obvious, for the Believer and then move on to the less obvious, for the Lost.
We Believers already know according to The Books to the Thessalonians, that the “Day of the Lord” will be the most wonderful day of all. The Born-Again will rejoice beyond our wildest dreams as we pass from this life to the Life the Lord has created for us with HIM. Yet I see very little about what the “Watchers on the Wall” will witness. We need to patiently examine this and then be well aware of all that is going to take place in the “Last Days” or how it will truly be. I began by reading through the Books of Joel, then Amos and Obadiah. It would be useful if you did the same, it might be of greater interest to you, to know what is written there. Food for thought to be sure!
Joel 1:14-15 “Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD, Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.”
Amos 5:16-18 “Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skillful of lamentation to wailing. And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD. Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.”
I am sure that everyone has been able to see, how this world has turned itself on it’s proverbial head! Yet I am not too sure that as many Believers, have read this part of the Word of God and envisioned what the Lord has said about it. Notice in the Passage above, where the Lord says,”Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.” It turns what we look forward to, concerning the “Day of Lord”, on it’s head in our thoughts, am I not correct? Yet if we take what IS said and consider it for a moment, we can see how this would be. We know that there is always a calm before the storm! I remember living in “Tornado Alley” and how quiet it always got, the Strange color of the clouds, before the storm reached us. It will be the exact same thing, just before the Lord returns in the Rapture.
As we are now able to see, the world is in more dire need of Jesus Christ, than at any other time in human history! The level of evil has reached the Lord, as it did in the Days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah and as we know, the Lord God made these facts known to us way ahead of time. How odd is it then, that so very, very, few people are taking note of this?! And the Bible is over 4500 years old! One would think, this information would be vital to our Lives, in everyone and yet I must digress!
There is always a recompense for us, if we give the Word of God to the Lost and if we do not. We must be diligent and aware of the Work of the Lord, we can not sit in the pews and piously think of how wonderful we feel in the presence of the Lord…as the Lost die. Take the Passage of Scripture below, as a call to arms for the Lord God, as HE has directed.
Ezekiel 3-16-19 “And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”
It is of the upmost importance that we recognize the “State of Affairs” of everyone around us, the Times are turning Darker and Darker. Evil, the likes has never been see in all History, is coming and we must be ready and willing to go out and deliver the Word of Salvation through Jesus Christ to all. The Born-Again Believer is to be “The Watchers on the Wall” and we will see the coming storm like no other! The Sky will be dark and the hearts of man will be dark as well and we are beginning to see this forming as we speak. Thus the Word of God, is telling us, “Time is of the essence”! Now is not the time to be sleeping or to be concerned with sleep, we have a great deal of work to do and the Lord God Almighty is indeed watching. We will be held accountable!
Governments and Leaders of people are eradicating others at an alarming rate and yet how many are bringing these atrocities to everyone’s knowledge, even worse, if they know, do they care?! Having stated that, if a person is Lost and someone comes along and kills them, upon whose head is that persons blood?! I am not saying anyone must be writing articles anywhere, or becoming a Pastor, or even a missionary, what I am saying is that we all have our own talents according to the Lord and we must be out and using them daily. As you stand before the Lord, do you really think your excuses will be of any consideration?!
My Friends, I was a sinner, just like everyone else, I Lost time that I should have been walking with the Lord and Passing HIS Salvation to others. One day I will have to stand before HIM and make an accounting of my Life and my Choices, of my wasted time, just like everyone else. The only difference is, my Sin is covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ, yet that still does not give me the right to deny anyone else the chance to be forgiven as well. Thus my Reason, for writing! The question is, what are you doing for the Lord, how are you presenting the Word of God to the Lost around you? Thus, there is no better time to change…than right now!
I remember when I was young, my Parents had a book, that was made to show the Dark Clouds of World War II. The picture did show a sort of Dawning on the horizon, our situation is now very different! We are going from a Dawning, as in a morning, to absolute darkness! That is the Darkness of Evil in this world, the view is of the Evil of this world right now! This my Friends, is what the “Watchers on the Wall” are witnessing and the problem is only getting worse by the hour. We must then realize the lateness of the hour and the coming Darkness in which we live, then realize the “Day of the Lord” is a woe for us. We are entering a time of Mourning, of tears and loss, of the ultimate horror of man to another, we are the witnesses of all of this. Indeed, “Woe unto you that desire the Day of the Lord!”
As I have said before, we can be thrilled that Lord is coming, that our lives will change dramatically in an instant. But the days will be extremely dark, the events scary and forlorn for the lost. We are to be the bearers of GREAT NEWS of Salvation through Jesus Christ! Yet maybe you haven’t noticed, the Lost far out-weigh the numbers of the Born-Again! That is our mission, our single most important duty to the Lord, to tell them how to change the dark outcome they currently walk.
That is why I have stated before that the Road that is wide and broad is filled by lines and lines of the Lost, headed for destruction. They resemble the Zombies we see in TV, not thinking, not caring about anything. They simply trudge along, already dead and not knowing it, not a care in the world. They do not see that little path to the narrow gate…That FEW…I say again…That FEW are able to FIND!
We do indeed, have a great work to do, the Harvest is indeed ready and yet there are too few workers, thus a great portion of the Harvest is going to be Lost forever. Again, on whose head, will their Blood be? And this is according to the Perfect Will the Lord God has for us! This is written in HIS Holy Word to you and I…the Bible!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
