The Questions That Burden Us So!

The Questions That Burden Us So!
By Don Twobears

How odd is it? Again I come to you with the idea of looking at things in this Life and how it is related to us in the Holy Word of God. First, let’s take a look at a definition; “Grace”

Full Definition of “Grace” Merriam-Webster’s Distionary
a : unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification
b : a virtue coming from God
c : a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace

The word “Grace,” as used in the Bible, usually refers to the unmerited or undeserved favor of God.

Considering this word “Grace”, do you think it means HIS “Love….for us, Consideration (Thoughtfulness, etc..)…for us, HIS Love (despite our Sin Nature)…for us, do ya think?!

Why would I choose to reference this word “Grace” when there are so many other words we could choose to look at? It seems there is a situation taking place now by more and more people and it also appears, it is from those that are new Christians. On the other hand it could be from older Christians that have never considered this word before.

I was reading on the Internet lately and came across articles dealing with, “Whether or not Children would be taken in the Rapture.” I was able to see that many people wanted a “straight-forward answer” to their question. What actually took place was, many others responded with Scripture, that “More or Less” pointed to the answers and yet there was NO Straight-Forward answer. It sort of struck me, that there would be some that would be left with this heart-wrenching question and still NO answer in a definite direction.

I usually sit out front of my Country Home and consider these things, sometimes with a quick response and at times a much slower response. I am sure that the “Latter of the people above,” would prefer a quick response, but this got me to thinking. With my thinking, the Holy Spirit started showering Scripture into my head or Heart (Which ever you think applies). Yet only one seemed to stand out;

2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

The Apostle Paul had many problems in his life and the Lord saw him through each and every one of them, therefore Paul “Gloried in his infirmities”. And why was this? The Lord God told him “HIS Grace (See above) was sufficient for him (Paul). If this applies to the Apostle Paul, would it not apply to you?! After this another Passage of Scripture shot through;

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Does this begin to make some sense to you? If we raise a child, according to the Lord, do you really think the Lord would leave that child behind? So then the question was raised, what about this “Age of Accountability”? Does this apply and if so, at what age does this expire? Another Passage of Scripture came along;

Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

Does this answer any questions for you? NO? Read it again and then think upon it, ask yourself, what are the “Secret Things” of God and what are the “Revealed Things?” Then a fantastic verse hit me like a shot in the dark and it seemed to finish everything that I needed to understand. I hope and Pray that it finishes the question and answers the session for you as well.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by “Grace” are ye saved through “Faith”; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (All emphasis is mine)

How often is it, that we receive the Blessings of the Lord in such a manner? Thoughtful consideration of the Holy Word of God, is all we need to find the answers to all our questions. Thing is, when you have a solid relationship with Jesus Christ, there will never be any room for Worry, or questions that will bring us to the Brink of Dispondency.

Do you ever get the sensation, that ‘Fear’ brings with itself in your Heart? If that is indeed a problem, then it may be due to a Problem in your Relationship with the Lord. Please be advised, it never comes from a lack of diligence by the Lord, it is always a problem we started, it is our Sin. We do not need to have any fear in our hearts, when we truly belong to Jesus Christ.

Our children, whether they are young or old, are to be brought and laid at the feet of Jesus Christ! We must remember, it is HE that saves anyone! As the Word of God says, “HE is the vine and we are the branches and without HIM we can do nothing!” John 15:5 (Paraphrasing is mine)

Does this mean they will be saved and go with us in the Rapture?! That my Friends is a “Secret of God” and it is NOT for you or I to know. Remember, that relationship is between your child and the Lord God Almighty! As for the little children, you already know the Lord God Loves them and they will go with us in the Rapture! How do I know this?! As the song says, “Jesus told me so!” We find it through the Holy Word of God and the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit!

It is so important, to remember too, that the “James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” That my Friends, is your ticket to more and better understanding of the Lord God and again, “It should be Sufficient for all of us!”

Here is one last passage of Scripture;

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I use the King James version of the Bible and all emphasis is mine.
