There is a Malfunction Here Troops!!

I have received a couple of emails, that sort of made me wonder, what are they thinking. Then I got on the internet this morning and I saw Joel Osteen in an interview and he spoke of Gods goodness and the goodness of man. And this began to puzzle me! Then it sort of hit me, in a oblique manner. God is good, as Jesus stated, but HE said “ONLY God was good”, so there was the first, more direct, thought in my head. Then as I thought about it more, the “Goodness of man”? Where is this “Goodness of man”? There is NO such a thing as Goodness of man, humans are the “It’s all about ME!!” Good stops for man right there!!
Our bodies are not good, they are susceptible to every single thing that comes along and that is because our bodies are “Fluid Based”. That means our bodies are the perfect incubator for any sort of pathogen that can come along. Our bones are strong to an extent, but they still break and then as we age, they begin to loose Calcium and the strength is then gone. We abuse pour bodies in various ways and then wonder why we’re sick. We take and put things in our bodies and expect them to last forever, NOT understanding these bodies are made for a select period of time. IF we care for them properly and even then certain processes take our body over and destroy them from the inside out. So there is very little that our bodies are good for.
Our “Mind”? In Biblical terms, that mind is our Soul and Spirit. How can we say our mind is good, when we dwell on evil. Jeremiah was convinced of how bad we humans actually are, here is some of the things he said;
Jeremiah 17:5 “Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”
Jeremiah 17:23 “But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.”
Why would these things be in the Bible, if God did not intend for us to know these things?! These verses speak of the depravity of man and the need for Gods intervention in our lives, here on earth. The entire reason for our Bible is to bring you and I, to a place where we see our own failure and that we are presently separated from God and Heaven, because of our own SIN! We then read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how we can be saved from Eternal Damnation through the Shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross at Calvary. Everything else is about the way we humans have been though out history and where we are wrong and needy of Christ. We also see our fearful questions answered by the Creator of all of us, through HIS holy Word to us, the Bible. So then the statement must be made, WE must read the Bible and decide to follow Jesus Christ or choose not to follow him, then we KNOW by our own decision, whether we will see Heaven or not. What part of this is NOT simple to understand?!
Joel Osteen stated that we will be saved to Heaven according to God. He is correct in Part!! We, the humans, here on this planet, will choose to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior or we will not. It is then up to God to decide whether we have made a TRUE commitment to HIM or not, because HE knows the “Intent of our Heart”! The Lord God Almighty gave us the “Free Will Gift” to choose, that single choice is given to you and I and it is to that end, as a JUST and Righteous God, that we will receive Salvation of Heaven or Punishment to Hell. As I have stated before, from Gods Word the Bible, we humans are NOT good in any way! That being the case we NEED a Savior and HE is Jesus Christ!
In my humble opinion, those few “Differences” according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, makes every difference in the world. Those differences can keep you out of Heaven, can blind you to the Word of God, can make you see ourselves as more than we are, the Fallen race of man!
I am an ex-military man, so let me put it to you as I would expect a Drill Sargent to say;
“You and I are a worthless pile of garbage Troop, compared to the Just and Righteous God, we are filled with SIN and our Hearts are evil beyond understanding!
God has a compass and it only has North and South, just to make it easy for you! Now if your paying attention, you will be going North or South! If you have the Lord with you, you’ll be going North and HE will see you through the Mountains and the Valleys, the good and the bad and then one day HE will take you home to be with HIM! Are YOU paying attention here Troop?!
IF you find your going South, then you better get some bearing here Troop! YOU are headed the Wrong way…TURN AROUND!! Am I getting through to you Troooooooooops?!?! You do not want south, you will walk right off a cliff and never stop falling, burning up every inch of the way! And you will KNOW all you had to do was turn around and go North! So why didn’t you?!?! What are you doing here Troop?! Using your head for a hat-rack?! What IS…your major malfunction Here Troop?!
Somewhere, some place, you have gotten it in your head, YOU are something special, ain’t that right Troop?! Well…you are worth something to God, otherwise HE would never have died for YOU! Are you getting this Trooooops?! “It’s all about ME” will NOT work here, it all about us!! Now pay attention here troop! This is what you MUST do;
YOU WILL accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and HIM only!
YOU WILL follow HIS every word and HIS every Commandment…without Fail!!
YOU WILL read HIS Word the Bible everyday and think on it every minute!!
YOU WILL stand up for HIM as HE stood up for YOU on the Cross!!
YOU WILL tell others what HE has done for YOU!!
YOU WILL NOT fail, YOU WILL NOT…give in, give up or go away!!
My Friends, this is what a Warrior for Jesus Christ would know and understand. It is no surprise that satan and his ilk will use every opportunity to persuade you differently and use every subtle word to make sure you fail. Be sure, satan and his ilk are nothing more than a bunch of losers and they are afraid to face Jesus Christ, who is God Almighty. That being the case, do what I do. If I feel I am being tempted…I keep saying, “I am in YOUR hands Lord! I am in YOUR hands LORD” Over and over again until I am able to walk away from the temptation.
From Jesus Christ, I know;
I will follow Jesus Christ, where ever HE wants me to go and I will NOT give in to fear!
You can kill my Body, but my Soul and Spirit belong to the Lord God Almighty!
I will do as HE asks of me, I will NOT give in, I will NOT give up and I will NOT Go away!
I will keep going until HE calls for me to stop!
Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
