My lil’ Garden and the Lord

I am wondering if anyone sees some things taking place, that I am seeing, especially in the last couple of years? I am a Military Brat, I was raised this way and more compatible to fighting a war, than say farming. I must also say, I am much older now and the military combatant side of me is just about gone. In this state, I have begun to try farming so to speak, actually a Vegetable Garden, solely because of the lack of real space to make a large garden, yet I endeavor to persevere. It is a tough thing to accomplish, some truly hard work! Yet as I grow older, it is good for my body to be thus involved, beside the fact of producing Tomatoes and Cucumbers, maybe some spices.

Deuteronomy 28:1-6 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.”

Deuteronomy 28:15-20 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.”

I see many bugs and Aphids, worms and mites and then we at times, have a very small show at harvest. It would be even more easy for me to accept and admit I am not a very good farmer, which I probably am. It is easier still, to see the Lord is not Blessing our Land here in the USA, because we are against HIS people Israel. One needs to re-read the Scripture above to see how that is working for us here in the USA. All that is needed is to ask ourselves, which of the two paragraphs of Scripture above does this country of ours fall into, right now?

I am finding also, that it is not just our decisions against Israel, but also our own failings against the Lord God Almighty…individually! Take a look at all that is going on around you, all of the time, look at Hollywood and see the decadance and then ask yourself, how accepting is this Country of people to that dismal reflection? Then look at the Word of God, ask yourself how adherrent are we to Gods Commandments? Is it not true, we are recieving exactly what we have asked for, for everything to be our way, as compared to Gods Way?! Is it any wonder that we are seeing Great Drought in this Country, Natural Disastor after Natural Disastor, mounting claims of distruction?

How much of the entire world is in the exact same situation as the USA? How many countries are wasted in Hurricanes and Typhoons, Doughts and Pestilence, Tornados? Am I saying something here?? Do these things align themselves with the Word of God and the Promises HE made to all of us? And what has the world done?! It has turned it’s collective back on God! So now, we expect our crops and Gardens to be fruitful?? As disappointing as it is, I almost am not willing to grow a garden any more! How odd would it be, if I cultivated a garden, Prayed ernestly for the Lord to Bless my Garden and watched as my garden prospered and the others around me failed?

Thus is the reason for this article. To examine where we have failed and why. Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” This is the promise that I will use and hold in my heart and I will ask the Lord to Bless my Garden. I plan on reading about Israel and how they grow things and then use the same methodology and as the Word of God says, “Pray without ceasing”. I Believe that is the Key!

We, the Born-Again Believers know the Word of God says “Be ye separate”, although we live among the Wolves in sheeps clothing. We are to trust the Lord God in all that we do and say, as well as think. Please read the entire Chapter of 1 Thessalonians 5 and see if these things are meant for us, the Believers?

Matthew 17:20 “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Although Jesus Christ was speaking of removing a difficult demon from a person in the passage of Scripture above, I belive that it can be used to declare unto all things. Again, we see that to make these happen we must have “Faith” in the Lord God Almighty…doubt is of the devil.

I would rather work my butt off, knowing the Lord will Bless my work, than to do anything else in any other manner! Has in never occured to you, that the Lord does exactly what HE says HE will do and that if we follow HIM without holding anything back, HE will make good on HIS Promises to us?! It may be a small thing to most people, but a Garden was always the place the Lord went to Pray, where HE shed drops of Blood as HE did so. I Realize it was not where I live that HE did so, but it is still significant, it was not a Vegetable garden, but it is still a garden none the less. Where else could you find the Lord still working through HIS Creation, despite all that is going on around us? The Lord God also told us HE would never leave us, nor forsake us and to be honest…that is enough for me!

I want to be a beacon for the Lost, unto the Lord my Savior! How many ways are there to do so, in all of the things we do everyday? Even if tomorrow is the day of the Rapture of Jesus Christ, I am still supposed to be doing exactly what I am until the second that HE comes! As thre Bible puts it, “I am to be Faithful until the end!” Therefore I will continue to write and give the Lord the Glory for our Salvation and I will Pray without Ceasing, I will prove to the world, that Jesus Christ IS GOD and that HE is worthy of our Love and Devotion! “For HE must increase and I must decrease”!

If we truly believe what the Word of God tells us, knowing these words are from HIS mouth to our ears, then we have nothing else to do but to come to HIM and accept HIM as our Lord and Master! We know fropm HIS Word, that we will do HIS Perfect Will in our lives and that HE will Bless us beyond our wildest dreams! God Almighty having said that, knowing this as the complete Truth, why not…in a small garden?!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
