God’s Word is Still Relevant

God’s Word is Still Relevant
By Don Twobears

Most of the time, I enjoy writing articles about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, then giving everyday examples of how we should be living for Christ. My point has always been according to the Word of God, the Bible, of making use of HIS words to us, on building a better and closer Life with HIM. In so doing, I believe that we need to know the Word of God is indeed relevant today and into the future. On this note, I also enjoy showing how the Word of God can be used to enhance our lives and to also show some passages that confound a few, little words like “Few”.

In this article, I would like to examine the “Power-Plays” taking place all around us, because we are indeed, in the “Last Days, the Rapture of Jesus Christ” is so near, you could almost reach out and touch the hem of HIS Robe.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

How odd is it? If we take a few moments and look all around, at all the actions of people, we see that the above passage of Scripture is indeed, at play. It confirms what we are able to see in people and that the Word of God is more relevant than most would be willing to accept. The point is, for the majority of people around the world, the evidence is over-whelming to say the least, if they are willing to be absolutely honest. This is also to note that the Word of God, is older than 4500 years. Written so long ago and yet it is relevant in terms of all it’s Prophecies, in today’s actions.

2 Peter 3:3-4 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation”.”

I am sure many of us have heard someone state this passage of Scripture before, not knowing they were actually fulfilling the Word of God. Sometimes stating it by using different words, but all the same, it is truth. People have been living and dying everyday and although we suffer at their lose, life continues as it has. For those of us that are True Believers and Followers of Jesus Christ, we see the “Writing on the Wall”. So then the question becomes, “How can Prophecies of the Bible come true, if the Bible is not relevant?” Again the word, “Few” are able to answer that. One thing is for sure, there are mighty Spiritual Powers at work. If you ask anyone, saved or not, they will admit that a lot of garbage is taking place everywhere. Yet they are not willing to accept the Prophecies of the Lord God Almighty, through HIS Word to you and I.

Here in lies the evidence in Prophecy, these things are taking place everywhere and yet the majority are not willing to accept what they see and experience. The majority are not willing to accept the Fact that a Loving God is willing to bring about such tragic situations, much less to see that God Almighty is dealing with the Sin of the world. The majority are experiencing the “Great Delusion of God.”

On the flip side, Satan and his ilk are doing their level best to TRY and PROVE that the Prophecies of the Word of God, are not what they seem to be. A little slight of hand if you will, but then again, it lays bear the Salvation through Jesus Christ. In other words, God lays out the “Great Delusion” for the masses and there is nothing that Satan and his ilk can do about it, so they play along and use that for their purposes, for their end result. That is the “Slight of Hand” in action. One thing is for sure, we already know this to be true of Satan, from the very beginning. Thus if people believe what Satan is telling them, they have no reason to consider it to be a lie. Also, most think of themselves as the decision maker for their lives at every moment, that they are immune to the “Forces of Nature”, simply because they are who they are. Talk about individual deception!

For example; Satan gives them a suggestion, which they believe they conceived all by themselves, that they should have a good work ethic, persevere into wealth and the like. Money and possessions become the Idol of their lives and they are more than willing to give all to that end! To the extent that they loose Friends and the enjoyment of life and worst of all, their Families. It is happening all too often. Yet…they never understand that the Lord God wants them to come to HIM…humbly. Ooops!

Matthew 19:24 “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

Need I say any more?! This proves the place for wealth! Obviously, it does not bode well with Humility! You gain here and then loose there! Pretty straight-forward if you ask me.

In looking at these things from both the Lord God Almighty and those of Satan and his ilk, we should not have to worry about which one is telling a lie.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

That’s an Ooops moment! Had the entire world read the Word of God, they would know about this lie of Satan. Of course, if you should ask them, What they think about someone that is willing to lie to them, they are suddenly aggressive. Thus, we see them hearing the truth, but FEW are willing to believe it. Obvious evidence they have a “Reprobate Mind”! And then we see, so many others willing to believe them and follow them. Is it “In Your Face reality?” Obviously! Yet they will never be able to see their own actions, even if they are accepting a lie. The Powers are indeed at work everywhere!

The Conclusion

So what are we to do? That is the point of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ! It is in our hands and minds to follow Jesus Christ, to know HIS Word the Bible and then to show the Lost “What is real and what is not!” In other words, That Satan and his ilk are lying to them everyday and about everything.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

If you haven’t figured it out yet, The Lord God Almighty has given you a way out of all this stupidity, in these the “Last Days!” There is indeed a future in Eternity for every single individual. The Question is, “Where in that Future Eternity…do you want to be?!” In Heaven or in Hell and the Lake of Fire?!

If you still do not want to trust the Word of God is truth, then just hang on a little bit, the “Rapture of Jesus Christ” is coming quickly and millions will suddenly disappear. It will be sudden proof that this 4500 year old Bible is still relevant! Once you realize this, it will be too late to go in the Rapture! You will still be able to accept Jesus Christ…it will cost you your life in doing so. Better late than never, your Eternal Life hangs in the balance!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I use the King James version of the Bible and all emphasis is mine.
