Death should NOT define our Lives!

2 Timothy 3:1-7 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

I am looking at all the emails I recieve, the ones that are from others and placed on sites for all to read. Basically, everywhere I can find them! Some of these are from “Well Meaning, Born-Again Christians”! It would appear though, they have a common core to them and one that most, seem to be missing, as far as what is expressed by Gods Word. In other words, it would appear there is a Dicotomy of thinking, in these presentations. I am NOT saying they are not heart-rending or real and I believe they express true heart-felt realism, but there is an underlying problem, that many are missing.

Please re-read the Passage of Scripture above and then re-think what you have written for all to see. It is apparent that most people, are saying they abhor the violence, the horrifing quiet death of the starving, the senseless annihilation of others in this world. So…in this thoughtful reflection of events around the world, what is being stated is the opposite, of what we should be believing, according to Gods Holy Word.

Do I bemoan the events unfolding all around us, now days? Yes, to a degree I do! Some how, many feel these things ought not to be taking place, when the Bible expressly says they will take place! I am NOT saying I condone what is happening, because it is wrong on every level. One would believe, or at least according to the Powers-that-be, all is “Better than we think it is”! Therefore we should be more confident in the view of these world shaking events! What I am arguing is this, many are simply going about their unfettered daily lives, that every morning is gorgeous and the world is at Peace with itself. They have this idea the Universe is going along as if there is nothing wrong taking place. When in fact, everything is the exact opposite!

Our own Miltary, being retrained to deal with any uprising, Foriegn or Domestic! How about all the FEMA camps that are springing up across this Country of ours, who are they for? YOU and I, that’s who they are for! We don’t want to dwell on these things, or speak much about them, because it will place undue fear in the masses…PANIC at the worst. We’ll just slide it under the rest of the news and hopefully it will simply go away, right?! All the wars raging across the Globe, the starvation and even the simple lack of clean water! We don’t want to recognise these events, it makes our hearts hurt! All the natural events and the destruction on an un-parelled level, since man has been on earth. Then we take in the scientific and listen as they Blaspheme the Lord and degrade HIS authority! We half acknowledge what they are saying, when in fact, they don’t understand what they are saying! Yet…it is all made known in the Word of God and the Word of God is over 4000 years old!

Please take a few moments and read John 11, about the death and resurrection of Lazurus, pay close attention to what all of it meant. Verse 35 says, That “Jesus Wept”. Was this for Lazurus, for the example that one day soon, Jesus would die for us, or was it because no one understood, what was really taking place?! I Believe the answer is, NO ONE understood…what was REALLY taking place! Go ahead and ask the Lord for HIS Wisdom and Discernment, then maybe you will understand why Jesus Cried.

Is it not enough for us to KNOW that Jesus Christ is the Great I AM, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last?! Was it that Jesus was able to KNOW the past, the Present and the Future…right down to this day and time?! Did Jesus Weep, because we are so full of ourselves, that we are not able to discern the events taking place all around us? No one seems to see the division of the masses according to the Devotion, or the lack there of, to HIM! Everyone is running around and wringing their hands about all the death taking place now days! Does this mean that Jesus was weeping because of our inability to define the times and how the world is turning their collective backs on HIM?! Ya think?!

Lets take a look at something, that far too many miss and it happens all too often! Jesus Christ IS God!! HE knows every second of everyday, of our lives, HE knows how we became and our end in this life! I am intending to be graphically obvious here! When one of us dies, we are laid on the Medical Examiners table and then disected for cause of death and few are able to bypass that event. These wars do the exact same thing, only in an instant and we all know the cause of death. So what is the common denominator here…DEATH!! The Bible is explicate, IF you are Born here, you will die one day! The “Rapture” is the only exclusion to that fact!

Does the passing of a Loved one seem any less sad?! NO!! We will truly miss having them around, as it had been for so long, right? So, we cry and mourn them…problem is, it is still death and the Bible told us it would be this way! The Bible has told us that we would have wars and destruction, so why do we bemoan, what we have always known the Life in this world would bring?! There will always be “Death as a Human”. Yet…this is not the only thing that will be wrong in this world, as we enter into the “Last Days”. Re-read the Scripture at the beginning of this article and maybe you will begin to answer some of your own questions.

I spoke of the division of the masses. Be it known, the division is concerned with those that are “Born-Again to Jesus Christ”! And the other half, is about those, that will NOT accept Jesus Christ! It is as simple as that! The two halves of the equation! Somewhere along the way, we have forgotten this fact in the Bible and why is that?! We are not accustomed, to delving into those things that we find undesirable or gross to us. If you are skating over any part of the Bible, you may want to ask yourself, what else are you glossing over, simply because it bothers your delicate sensibilities?! Tell me, where in the Bible does it express, we must gloss over anything, simply because we are unable to stomach the facts?! Where does the Bible say we must be careful of what we say about the Lord, for fear of offending someone?! Most of all, where does the Bible say we must be abhored by the events of today, in the “End of Days”?! Or are we glossing over the Scriptures once again?

I look at the past and think to myself, that they make me stronger and more resiliant in today, maybe even more so, because of todays events! Still as yet, we must acknowledge, nothing will change by our actions…unless it is the Perfect Will of our Lord and Savior! It matters little, whether that change is of Life or Death, it is all in HIS capable hands! We have missed the fact, that ALL things are according to what HE (God) wants and that is the end of the discussion!

In essence, we must understand that the Bible has stated, we will have wars! People will indeed die in these wars, but that it is in Gods hands. Our death here is nothing, but to miss the mark, to never know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, is more than anyone would truly want and for the most part, the majority still don’t want to accept that! That is the single most important part in the Bible, it is the reason for the Bible, as a whole! The questions of Life and or Death are nothing, following Jesus Christ, or not following HIM, is the ONLY question to be answered! That is all that truly matters!!

Be it known…DEATH here…is NOT the problem! That is a “Give Me”! It is natural and appointed to all! It is our Eternal Destination…that we must be more concerned with, our Faith in Jesus Christ, our desire to walk with HIM in our Life! THAT dictates where WE will spend Eternity! It matters little what we WANT! All the bad of this world, all the death we witness, all the tears we shed, will one day be explained to each of us and we will understand. WE…Born-Again Christians SHOULD be living every day, by Faith in Jesus Christ…and NOTHING ELSE!! Our eyes should continually be on HIM, not this world and what this world is doing or not doing! Our Lives should be Holy unto the Lord.

Having stated all of this, as we find it in the Bible…we should be seeing DEATH as a wonderful thing, as a Loved one passing to Heaven to be with the Lord! Why do we Mourn so for them?! Mourn those that do not know our Lord and Savior, they will be in torment forever and deserve our tears, until the Lord wipes those tears away. Is it not enough for us, that we KNOW, from Gods Word, Life is going to get worse…NOT better! These are the “last Days”!! Read it and believe it and then lay down in the Hands of our Lord and let HIM deal with it! This should be so obvious for us, plain and simple to understand! If in fact it is NOT, then you already have an issue that you need to discuss with Jesus Christ! I would be remiss, if I do not say, THAT disussion is the entire reason for YOU being here!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
