The Ultimate One

The Ultimate One
By Dennis Huebshman

Ephesians 4:4-7; “There is one body, and one Spirit; just as you were called to the one Hope (Jesus) that belongs to your call; (5) one Lord, one Faith, and one baptism (speaking of Holy Spirit baptism Matthew 3:11), (6) one God and Father of all; who is over all, and through all, and in all. (7) But grace was given to each one of us, according to the measure of Christ’s gift (at Calvary).” (all emphasis mine)

In the 1960’s and 1970’s, there was a rock group called “Three Dog Night” that performed a song called, “One Is The Loneliest Number”. It is obvious that this did not refer to our Lord. He is One, but He is the ultimate One.

No matter what any false prophets try to say, there is only One God who has three entities called the Holy Trinity, that has been in existence forever. This is hard for humans to comprehend as we are bound by specific time frames. When God created the earth, He created day and night; evening and morning (Genesis 1:3-5). He knew all along what He would create, and what He would set up for the humans that were about to be created. He designated days and years and seasons; and created the sun for day light, and the moon for a night light. (Genesis 1:14-18)

We first learn that one true Lord God Jehovah is more than one entity in Genesis 1:26a; “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.” Just because we cannot truly comprehend how this is possible, it does not mean it is not so. One day, when believers are absent from this earth and in the presence of the Lord, it will become clear as to how there could be a “Father”, “Son” and “Holy Spirit” that are one God. Jesus tried to explain this to the unbelieving Jews in John 10:30 when He said, “The Father and I are One.”

Jesus spoke using the number “one” in John 10:16; “And I have other sheep (all gentiles) that are not of this fold (Jews). I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. (The ‘they” are all true believers) So, there will be one flock, one Shepherd.”

In order to be counted as part of His flock, we must call out to Jesus to be our Savior, (Romans 10:9-13) and He will provide a “Helper” to live within us, to help guide us while we are on this earth. In John 16:7-15, Jesus was telling His disciples that He would be leaving soon to go back to the Father. He said that after He left, the “Helper” would come who He called “The Spirit of Truth” in verse 13. In this chapter, Jesus refers to each member of the Holy Trinity, of which He previously stated that He and the Father are One.

There are numerous verses in the Bible that tell us the Lord would never leave us or forsake us. This does not mean we won’t have tribulations in this world, but we realize we’re only here temporarily. After we leave here, either by death or by the Rapture, we will never ever suffer again.

Some verses are; Deuteronomy 4:31; Deuteronomy 31:68; Joshua 1:5; 1 Chronicles 28:20; 1 Kings 8:57; Matthew 28:20; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Hebrews 13:5 and Revelation 3:10. These are just a few of the examples of what is given throughout the Bible. We are assured that all who are in God’s will are never to be abandoned. Jesus told us in John 16:33 that we would have trials and sorrows in this world, but to remember He overcame the world.

One thing we must remember, because of a covenant with Abraham, all his descendants are God’s chosen people. In Genesis 12, God promised to honor all who would honor them; and He would condemn all who would condemn them. Isaiah 41:10-11 amplifies this; “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am Your God; (this applies to all true believers) I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (11) Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame, and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing, and shall perish.” This covenant stands today.

While this was mainly for God’s chosen up to Calvary, from the cross forward, Ephesians 3:6 tells of the Good News (Gospel); “This mystery in that the gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.” Prior to Calvary, the Genesis 12 promise was in effect that all who honored God’s chosen would be honored. God has not turned away from the Jews; the majority have turned away from Jesus. It’s estimated that 1% to 2% of all Jews worldwide are messianic – believe Jesus is their Messiah.

When Jesus died for our sins on Calvary, it was for Jews and Gentiles alike, or as Romans 10:13 states; “All Who call on the name of the Lord, will be saved.” This means the Jews are not exempt from accepting His sacrifice, and asking Him to be their Savior in order to be with Him forever. They are a chosen race, but they must accept Jesus to be kept from the Lake of Fire.

Romans 11:25 tells the purpose of the Rapture prior to the tribulation taking place. “Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers/sisters; a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”

In other words, as given in Zechariah 13:8-9, God will use the 7-year wrath to discipline His chosen and show them the truth. “In the whole land, declares the Lord, two thirds will be cut off and perish; and one third shall be left alive. (9) And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people’; and they will say the Lord is My God.”

Fullness of the Gentiles (and all believers) will take place as given in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. This will be the rapture or taking up of the church – all true believers no matter what denomination or religion they were – to meet Jesus in the air. The absolute main purpose is to keep all of the “Flock of Jesus” from entering into, and going through, the wrath/tribulation as given in 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 and Revelation 3:10.

The world will initially rejoice that the “haters” are gone. By the mid-point of the tribulation, all will realize that the antichrist and false prophet are direct servants of satan, and anyone who wishes to accept Jesus will most likely be martyred. Sadly, the majority will accept the mark of the beast, and be condemned into hell forever.

The lord is very close to coming back to call up all true believers. This will take away that which is restraining the appearance of the ultimate antichrist, and the wrath will begin.

Right now, it’s not too late to call on our Lord and Savior to rescue you from hell. No one but Jesus can do this. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 8:1) After the Rapture, it will still be a possibility to be saved, but as given above, it will put ones life in constant peril for doing so. You can avoid all that by determining today, to guarantee your eternal address will be in Heaven with our Savior. There is no third option; no matter what satan’s followers try to tell you.

Call today; He is waiting, and will refuse no one who truly asks His forgiveness and to be their Savior.

Maranatha!
