Now More Than Ever – BE PREPARED

Now More Than Ever – BE PREPARED
By Dennis Huebshman

Up until recently, the well-known motto of the Boy Scouts of America was, “Be Prepared”. It signaled the need to be ready to address whatever challenges were ahead and offered some fundamentals as to how to meet them. With all the changes that are taking place in the Boy and Girl Scout organizations, it’s getting more and more difficult to recognize old but tried and true values for either one. The secular left has infiltrated them both.

Before I go any further, I do not have hate in my heart toward anyone, however I do not have to tolerate or accept any actions that are contrary with my faith in the Lord.

Paul warned Timothy about such changes that would come about when people will not tolerate sound teaching; instead they will follow their own desires and accumulate teachers for themselves because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear “new things”. They will turn away from hearing the truth but on the other hand turn aside to myths. (2 Timothy 4: 3-4 emphasis mine throughout this message)

The Creator of the Universe and all that’s in it did not make any mistakes when He created humankind “In Our own image” (Genesis 1:26) to rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, over the cattle and over all the earth and over all the creatures to move the earth. The next verse (27) sums it all up; God created humankind in His own image in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. PERIOD. No mention of all the letters of the alphabet that’s being thrown around today.

There was nothing said about the creation of men that wanted to be women or women that wanted to be men or being able to “correct the mistake” that God supposedly made. This is a satanic inspired action and it has really come to the forefront just over the past decade or so. Yes, there have always been those who were not satisfied with their gender or what God calls normal sexual activity, and any deviation to normal relations is considered an abomination by the Father. (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1: 24-28)

Romans 1:32 states, “Although they fully know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.

Jesus said in the last days there would be wars and rumors of war. Nation would rise against nation and there would be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these things are the beginning of birth pains. Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of My name. Then many will be led into sin and they will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will appear and deceive many and because lawlessness will increase, so much the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24: 6-12)

My question here is do we have any of these happenings today? Better yet, are there any that aren’t happening today?

Canada now has a law that children can be removed from parents that speak out against transgenderism. To preach against alternate lifestyles will land a pastor in jail. California is in the process of enacting legislation that would make it a crime to give someone a Bible because it’s considered hate material Have you heard of any Muslim bakers being taken to court for refusing to bake Christian or Jewish items? How about a gay baker refusing to provide a wedding cake for a straight ceremony?

Yet, Christians are being singled out world-wide for exercising their right not to serve things that are an abomination to their faith. Photographers, bakers and florists seem to be taking the brunt of this discrimination. It would be so easy for the ones that want such items and are refused by a Christian business person, to go to another place that will supply what they want. The minority is trying to take a stand against the majority and the liberal left is supporting them. In come countries of the world today, if one professes a belief in Jesus they are very apt to be martyred.

So, back to “Be Prepared”. With all that’s happening and the world aligning with all last-days prophecy, how are we to be prepared? First and foremost, we need to believe we are on the verge of seeing a major event take place that’s given in the Bible. Though the word “Rapture” is not in the Bible, the concept is.

In 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52, Paul says we will not all sleep (die) but we will all be changed in a moment in the blinking/twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable and we will be changed. (As I have noted in previous messages, this trumpet has nothing to do with the Trumpet Judgments in Revelation.)

He continues this thought in 1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again (a major belief in Christianity), so also, we believe that God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep as Christians (From the Cross to the Rapture). For we tell you this by the word of the Lord that we who are alive who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not go ahead of those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a shout of command with the voice of the Archangel and with the Trumpet Of God (trumpet of announcement not judgment) and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive will suddenly (twinkling/blinking of an eye) be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will always be with the Lord.

This event will be faster than ½ second and I believe those who are caught up will be fully aware of what is happening. First those in the graves, wherever the bodies are of those who died in Christ, then the believers that are alive, will all be caught up. The dead will meet their spirits that have been with the Lord since their death, and along with the living that are caught up will be given bodies that are immortal. Seems like an impossible task, however with God all things are possible.

Those left behind will be in awe that certain people have gone. After a period of time, they will understand that the Gathering of the Church was a real event, and they missed it. For those who believe they can accept the Lord when the Rapture starts, it will be over in less than a second which will not even be enough time for them to take one breath.

The next appearance of the Lord after this will be at the end of the Tribulation and is known as the Second Coming. All will see Him arrive and set foot on the earth. Some will be very happy to see Him, but a whole lot won’t. In fact, He will put down a major revolt against Him in a battle commonly known as Armageddon with just a word from His mouth. The raptured saints will be the army that comes with Him, but to witness the event, not to do battle.

To avoid the Tribulation period and to be among the “witnesses”, one needs to accept Jesus before the rapture occurs. Nothing major has to be done except to accept Jesus and talk to Him. He will listen. Let Him know you would like to be forgiven of your sins and have Him be your Savior. If you mean what you say, He will forgive you and send the Holy Spirit to live within you. Talk to Him daily (prayer), and read His word (Bible) and when, not if, you sin again, ask Him to forgive you as told in 1 John 1: 8-10.

Don’t try to find a way to earn or buy your salvation as it can’t be done. Also, there is no other path to the Father than through the Son (John 14:6) no matter what some people are trying to preach today. Rest assured it is given as a free gift with the acceptance of the Lord Jesus that He paid for on the cross at Calvary. You will actually start looking forward to His call when He comes to take His church (all believers) away from the earth and out of the path of wrath.

Today would be a good time to call on Him, because we don’t know the day our hour, but do know it is very close.

Come Lord Jesus!
