Meet You At The Supper Table

Meet You At The Supper Table
By Dennis Huebshman

Has anyone else noticed lately that in this site and other end-times Prophecy sites there seems to be an urgency in getting the word out? Many of us are posting similar messages, but from different points of view in hopes no stone is left unturned. Numerous prophecy scholars are posting videos on various media giving their concerns for how quickly the time of the end is approaching, and some are surprised the believers are even still here.

On the other hand, are the skeptics. The ones Peter described as saying “Where is His return?” (2 Peter 3:4). John tells us there have been anti-christs since the crucifixion (1John 2: 18-19) but all are leading to the ultimate evil anti-christ of the tribulation. They lead the false prophets that are giving watered down messages designed to entertain but not really have much substance. The Bible tells that those who say they’re giving the Word of the Lord will be held to a higher level of accountability which means to me a special place in Hell for the deceivers. That’s why, I will not give any message contrary to the true word of the Lord irregardless of whether or not it’s politically correct. Those who hear the truth, but choose not to accept it will have no excuse when standing before the Father at their judgment.

Personally, I’m looking forward to the Wedding Celebration of the Lamb, and the banquet that will be there. Revelation 19: 7-9, “Let us rejoice and exult and give Him glory because the Wedding Celebration of the Lamb has come and the Bride (Church) has made herself ready. (8) She was permitted to be dressed in bright clean fine linen for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. (9) Then the angel said to me, write the following; Blessed are those who are invited to the banquet at the Wedding celebration of the Lamb. He also said to me, these are the true words of God.” (As always – emphasis is mine.)

Today, more than ever, all of us need to get to the true basics of our faith. Almost 70% of evangelical churches are turning around and preaching a gospel that says there’s many ways to heaven, and it’s not necessary to accept Jesus as Lord and all lifestyles are acceptable to the Father. Even the pope is making radical statements and one of the latest is the “Quran is a book of peace, and Islam is not a violent religion”. Really? Here comes my favorite Greek word again – HOGWASH!

In order to keep the seats occupied and the money plates full, the trend is to not cause anyone to have any uncomfortable guilt feelings but to keep them constantly entertained. Problem is, we’re all guilty and have sinned (Romans 3:23) and that’s why we need the Salvation offered by the Father through the blood of the sinless Lamb, Jesus the Christ. There is no other way on this earth that we can be saved by any other means or name. (Acts 4:12)

The Jews are God’s chosen people through Abraham, however EVERYONE has been in His plan from the beginning. Consider Genesis 18:18, “After all, Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and ALL the nations on earth will pronounce blessings on one another using his name.” Also, Genesis 22:18, “Because you obeyed me, ALL the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.” One more, Genesis 28:14, “Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth and you will spread out to the west, east, north and south. ALL the families of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using your name and that of your descendants.” When God says something once, He wants us to take notice of it. When it is repeated, especially three or more times, It Is Something He Really Wants Us To Know!

And with all this and all the scrolls of the Old Testament that describe the Messiah and the prophet Daniel even telling the exact day of the Triumphant Entry 400 years later on a donkey which was told in Zechariah, you would think the Jewish people would definitely accept Yeshua (Jesus) as their Lord. Problem here is only about 1% – 2% actually are Messianic and there are other Jews that persecute them. By the end of the tribulation and after at least 2/3 of the Jews going into it are killed, the remaining remnant will ALL believe in Jesus. The Messianic Jews will not be here as they will have gone in the Rapture.

Several verses I use regularly are John 14:6; Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; No One comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13; ALL who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

I will not apologize for the continuous use of these and other verses as they tell of the straight and narrow way as referenced in Matthew 7:14 by our Savior. Don’t forget also Romans 8-1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.” 1 John 5: 10-12 says if we accept Jesus we have the Father, but if not, we have neither. Romans 10-9; “Confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe with all your heart God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved.” To not believe is unforgivable, and an eternity in the Lake of Fire.

Philippians 2:10: “At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow in Heaven, on the earth and under the earth and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.” And yes, even satan will bow just before he enters torment forever. Revelation 3: 20; “Jesus said I stand at the door and knock. If anyone opens the door, I will come into his home and will share a meal with him and he with Me.” There is a very famous painting of Jesus standing outside at a door and is about to knock. A close look reveals there is no door knob of any kind. It must be opened from the inside. Jesus will not force Himself on anyone, but will accept ALL who accept Him.

As always, I ask you to be certain you know you have Jesus in your heart. To put it off is to reject Him; to say maybe is to reject Him; to believe you can do it on your own is not only to reject Him, but is totally foolish. You can know for certain if you are saved or not.

It’s so easy to call on Him and there’s part of the problem. Most people don’t feel it’s real without some fancy ritual or having to recite a prepared speech or whatever. Just talk to Him as you would anyone and tell Him you need Him as your Savior. Thank Him for taking your sins to the Cross and let Him know you want Him in your life. You don’t need to do this through anyone else. He knows you will never be totally sinless on this earth, but stands ready to forgive you when you slip if you have accepted Him. He stands between you and the Great White Throne Judgment where all who have rejected Him will end up. You will not be punished for what He paid for if you’re His.

If you want to take time to think it over, how much time are you “guaranteed” to be here? Think of the rich man in Luke 12 who said he would tear down his barns and build bigger ones and live high on the hog (paraphrased of course). He died that very night, and his treasure was given to others. I worked in the medical field and also was a police officer for years and in both jobs, I witnessed people of all ages who thought they had more time being taken to the morgue. At your last breath, your destiny is set. Like the old commercial says, “Smoking or non-smoking?” Your Choice. Choose wisely today.

Shalom!
