Jesus – Fully man and Fully God

Jesus – Fully man and Fully God
By Dennis Huebshman

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory of the only Son from the Father full of Grace and Truth.

There is an abundant amount of evidence that Jesus was real and was on this earth about 2000 years ago. This is verified both secular and religious. The question is: Just who He really was.

Some say He was just another prophet and did not die on the cross. It was said His grave was empty because His disciples stole the body. That lie was started by the Pharisees after He arose from that grave. (Matthew 28:13)

One note about crucifixion: Many people don’t realize that it was a final act. If a Roman soldier allowed someone to come off the cross alive, that soldier took the condemned place. They always made sure the victim was totally dead.

Second, if Jesus did not die, and then come back to life, why were so many people willing to die professing Christianity? Ask yourself if you would give up your life, sometimes martyred in horrible ways, for a LIE!

Before Jesus ascended back to Heaven, He had appeared to hundreds of people. This took place over a 40-day period. (Acts 1:3) If this were a fake, why would people even today be willing to die for Him? This is happening in several places around the globe.

There are those in the Islamic faith who say He will return to earth as a servant of Mohammad. They have not studied the scriptures – both old and new testaments – to see what God said. Mohammad and Buddha are still in their graves. The God of Christianity is the “One True God” that in the beginning created the Heavens and the Earth. (Genesis 1:1) He is alive and well, always has been always will be. Jesus along with the Holy Spirit were at the creation with the Father (Genesis 1:26).

God knew from the beginning of time only one sacrifice would cover His hatred of sin, and He had to personally provide that sacrifice.

Jesus is 1/3 of the Godhead (Trinity) and came to earth as a human. He was born of a virgin fulfilling a prophesy made over 500 years prior. (Isaiah 7:14) He had to be born as a Human, so He would have credibility of one who could understand us personally. It had to be of a virgin so that man’s sin nature would not be in him. Thus, the perfect sacrifice. (Holy Spirit planted the seed in Mary). He was still fully God, but for a brief time, about 33 years, became just a little lower than the angels (Hebrews 2:7) so He could complete the Father’s will. The moment He “died” His spirit was reunited with the Father and He was totally God again.

This Jesus is the one that will come to take His Church home. (1Thessalonians 4:16-17) also known as the rapture. He is the same Jesus who will return at the end of the tribulation/wrath to rule and reign on earth for 1000 years. (Revelation 20) He is the same Jesus that will be Lord of Lord and King of Kings FOREVER.

He doesn’t want to see anyone go into eternal punishment but loves us enough not to FORCE us to choose Him. If we end up in Hell, it is because we chose it!

There is no middle of the road or third choices.

Whatever decision you have made at your last breath on earth will determine where you will spend eternity. Choose Wisely. Choose today. (Joshua 24:15).

Satan and many different false prophets will try to distract you, and some will tell you there’s many ways to Heaven and all religions worship the same god. John 14:6 totally disputes this.

Also, there are those today who say hell is not real or God wouldn’t allow anyone to be there forever. Last 3 chapters of Revelation corrects this error. No, God won’t send anyone to hell other than those who choose to go there. They do this by rejecting Jesus as their Savior, acknowledging He paid for our sins totally at the Cross, and through His death, burial and resurrection conquered death and sin forever. It’s already been done, but only those who accept this will be saved. God allows free will and does not force anyone to accept His Son. To be a just God though, He has to follow through on not allowing anyone into heaven that hasn’t asked Jesus into their lives.

The truth is there for the reading, and John 8:32;36 tells us the truth sets us free and is a promise from Jesus Himself.

Personally, I prefer to believe Jesus over and above anyone else.
