Rapture Forums – Ezekiel’s Watchman
By Dennis Huebshman

Ezekiel 33: 2-6, “Son of man, speak to your people, and say to them, Suppose I bring a sword against the land, and the people of the land take one man from their borders, and make him their watchman. (3) He sees the sword coming against the land, blows the trumpet, and warns the people; (4) but there is one who hears the sound of the trumpet, yet does not heed the warning. Then the sword comes and sweeps him away. He will be responsible for his own death. (5) He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not heed the warning, so he is responsible for himself. If he had heeded the warning, he would have saved his life. (6) But suppose the watchman sees the sword coming, and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people. Then the sword comes and takes one of their lives. He is swept away for his iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for that person’s death.” (emphasis mine)

The rest of the chapter through verse 20 continues with God’s instructions to Ezekiel about getting His messages to them, and how the prophet would be held accountable if he didn’t follow God’s word. God does make it very plain that if Ezekiel gives the warnings, but the people go their own way, Ezekiel would not be responsible for their sin – they would be.

I have been privileged to be able to post the Father’s messages on Rapture Forums for just over a year, and the Ezekiel warning is always very much on my mind. Not just for myself, but anyone who posts God’s word on such sites is subject to James 3:1, “Not all of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, because you know that we will be judged more strictly.” I know for a fact, the administrator of Rapture Forums screens everything posted to ensure that only the true word is published.

Ezekiel 33:11 makes it clear, that the Father does not want anyone to fail; “Say to them, as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but prefer the wicked change from his behavior and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil deeds! Why should you die, O house of Israel?”

This sounds like Peter’s warning in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because He does not wish for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

The warning in Ezekiel is clearly for God’s chosen people, the Israelites. The warning in 2 Peter is for everyone who will accept God’s Son as their Savior through the covenant of the cross.

John issued warnings about false teachers and antichrists in 1 John 2:18-19, “Children, it is the last hour, and just as you heard that “The Antichrist” (evil one of Revelation) is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. We know from this that it is the last hour. (19) They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us, because if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they went out from us to demonstrate that all of them do not belong to us.” There have been numerous ministries started with the best of intentions, but greed and pride turned some away from the truth. They were never really true Biblical Watchmen.

Going to 1 John 5:2-3, “By this you know the spirit of God; every spirit that confesses Jesus as the Christ who has come in the flesh is from God; (3) but every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God and thus is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and now is already in the world.”

There were false prophets and antichrists in the world from the time of Calvary, and will be here all the way to the second coming of Jesus at the end of the Tribulation. John and the others knew their numbers and influence would increase, especially near the end of the age. We see evidence of false preachers today who are “prosperity” minded; giving messages that say there’s many ways to Heaven; What God called abominations in the past are now acceptable; there’s no Hell, and so on and so forth. Satanic activity is more out in the open than it has ever been.

Satan’s antichrists are active and preparing the way for the ultimate evil one who will appear shortly after the Rapture. There will be a very “influential” person who will have the “perfect peace plan” which involves Israel, and will be for a 7-year period of time. The Rapture will occur prior to his appearance. (see 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12)

The messages that I am able to post, and those posted by numerous others, are our way to provide information and warnings about world events today. Nothing has changed the word of the Lord. It means exactly the same today as it did from the very beginning of creation in Genesis 1:1. We are doing our utmost to be faithful watchmen and watchwomen to honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. We give the warnings; it’s up to you to accept or reject them.

For all those who give ear-tickling messages; put on stage-productions that have no real biblical content; twist the word of the Lord to fit personal agendas; and lead people away from the Father; there will be special discipline applied at the Great White Throne. As Ezekiel said, the followers will be lost, but the leaders will be held accountable for each one of them.

Of all the messages I have read on Rapture Forums, I have not seen any that were intentionally false. We all are imperfect humans, and sometimes there might be a typographical error; however, we all stand to correct them when discovered. The messages that get posted almost always have the same theme: Believe Jesus came to earth as fully-human, yet fully-God; He willingly gave His life as the perfect sacrifice for our sins; He died as a human on that cross, was buried and was raised on that third day by the Father; His sacrifice conquered sin and death. He was taken up (Raptured) back to Heaven, and will come again for all who believe in Him, and call out to Him to be their Savior. We must have Faith this is truth.

We believe Jesus is the only way to the Father as given in John 14:6. We believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant word of God, written by Holy Spirit-inspired men (2 Peter 1:20). We do not know the day or hour that Jesus will call His Church (believers) Home, but we believe it is close – right at the door.

Speaking of doors, it’s up to each individual to open that door for themselves. No one can be saved through another; it’s up to everyone to accept or reject for themselves. Revelation 3:20, “Listen, I am standing at the door knocking. If anyone hears My voice, and opens the door (calls out to Him), I will come into his/her home (our hearts), and share a meal with him/her and he/she with Me.”

God could have forced us to accept Jesus, but that would not be pure love. John 3:16 and Romans 5:8 tells us God loves us, and the sacrifice “He” made for us, even though we are lost sinners without Him, was given for everyone who would accept the gift. No matter who we are (Romans 2:11), we have the right and privilege to call on the name of the Lord for Salvation (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13), for the name of Jesus is the only one by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12) There is none good enough to enter Heaven on their own merits, and there is no price we can pay for our Salvation. Jesus paid our passage in full. For those who think they “deserve” to be there on their own, will be told at their White Throne appointment how wrong they are.

For those who heed the “watchman’s warning”, by following through and accepting Jesus now, they will be spared from the Wrath of God that will come (7-year Tribulation). It will cancel your reservation in line at the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:11-15), and put you at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10), where it’s a “rewards” judgment, not for punishment

It’s completely up to you which Judgment you end up at. As a watchman, I have “sounded the trumpet” and given the alarm. I have given you the “escape” message. To accept or reject is now up to you; and I have followed the instructions of My Savior to me.

As Joshua said, Choose this day whom you will serve; as for myself and my family, we choose to serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15). For everyone who thinks they have “plenty of time”, this is one of the greatest lies satan throws at us. We are not guaranteed one more hour, much less another day. Test the spirits (false teachings), read the word of the Lord yourself, and see if what is being presented is truth or false. The Holy Spirit will open your mind to help you better understand.

Hope to see you at the Judgment Seat of Christ!

Maranatha! (come Lord Jesus)
