Israel Bashing? Not Wise!

Israel Bashing? Not Wise!
By Dennis Huebshman

To the people who believe the word of the Lord is foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18), this message will most likely be ignored. They’ll be of the opinion that it’s just another fairy tale from a “Bible Thumper” To give the last part of the above verse, “…but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.” (any emphasis is mine)

With all the events taking place in the world today, there is one nation that is being “bashed” by almost every other nation, and their only obvious “crime” is, they exist. The Jewish people are God’s chosen because of covenants with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel) and David. God will honor any and all covenants He has ever made, and the passage of time changes nothing. There is another covenant with everyone because of the Cross, and that will be discussed further.

The Ezekiel war prophecy is nearer every day, because of the tension in the middle east, and especially with the formation of an unprecedented alliance between Russia, Iran and Turkey. God has put leaders in place in those countries who will eventually complete His will by attacking Israel for their resources; and in an attempt to annihilate them completely. There is a deluding influence mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:11, that I believe the Father is already using. Anyone who reads Bible prophecy regularly can see all the events listed there are taking place today. The countries that will come against Israel do not believe God’s Word. Not Wise!

Israel was disbursed around the world almost 2000 years ago, and then was the only nation to ever return to its land to become a sovereign nation again. This happened on May 14, 1948. Isaiah 66:8, “Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen this? Can a country be brought forth in one day? Can a nation be born in a single moment? Yet as soon as Zion goes into labor, she gives birth to sons.” This was prophesied over 2500 years before the rebirth of Israel.

From Isaiah 11:11-12, “At that time, the sovereign master (God) will again lift His hand to reclaim the remnant of His people from Assyria, Egypt, Pathos, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath and the sea coasts. (12) He will lift a signal flag for the nations; He will gather Israel’s dispersed people and assemble Judah’s scattered people from the four corners of the earth.” The Jews worldwide have made “Aliyah” back to the land of their ancestors (the immigration from other lands to the land of Israel), and this continues today.

Ezekiel 20:34 echoes this, “I will bring you out from the nations, and will gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a powerful hand and an outstretched arm, and with an outpouring of rage.” Anyone who has not seen the Father’s protecting hand over Israel since 1948, is definitely not paying attention. The “infant” country was attacked from the Arab nations all around it, right from the very start. They have been attacked several times since, and “Miraculously” have survived each time. The other nations have all been larger and more populated, yet Israel – about the size of New Jersey – is undefeated. The 6-day war of 1967 was totally amazing!

God said He would bless the land and make it prosperous. Prior to 1948, Israel was basically barren with a few nomadic tribes living there. Samuel Clements (Mark Twain) visited the land in 1869, and said it was worthless. Yet in Isaiah 35:1-2, “Let the desert and dry region be happy; let the wilderness rejoice and bloom like a lily. (2) Let it richly bloom; let it rejoice and shout with delight. It is given the grandeur of Lebanon, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the grandeur of the Lord, the splendor of our God.”

To view Israel today, it has become fertile and beautiful to see. It exports fruits, vegetables, wine and other products to many other countries; grown on lands that previously couldn’t support weeds. This land is a true example of Daniel 12:4, “But you Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will dash about, and knowledge will increase”

Not only has agriculture blossomed in Israel, God has provided them with knowledge and strength. There have been medical “breakthroughs discovered” by Israeli scientists, and their military is one of the strongest in the world. Israel is willing to share what they have with the world, yet are continuously accused of being “illegal occupiers” of the land given to them by the Creator Himself. No other country in the world can make this claim.

There is coming a day when every nation on earth will come against Israel. Zechariah 12:3, “Moreover, on that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy burden for all the nations, and all who try to carry it will be seriously injured; yet all the peoples of the earth will be assembled against it.” Some will say America will not be among those nations, yet before our current President and Vice President, the U.S. government was becoming very anti-Semitic. I believe for a short time, the Father is giving us a chance to repent. Sad part is, He won’t wait long, and the drive is more “anti” than “pro” Israel.

We know the Jews are God’s chosen, however He has not held back discipline on them. All through the ages, they have turned against Him, and even worshiped other “gods”. He used some other nations at times, to carry out His discipline. Afterwards, God severely disciplined those nations because they went too far.

The relationship between the Father and Israel is like feuding relatives. They can pick on each other, and have fights and disagreements, but no one else better get involved! They’ll both come at you. No matter what, God always wins.

Believers have a special covenant because of Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins on the Cross. This did not eliminate or replace God’s covenant with Israel. In fact, Romans 11:25 tells us, “For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited; a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in”.

God knows the “condition” of today’s Jewish people’s unbelief in His Son, as only about 1%-2% of their total population worldwide is Messianic. Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, believers will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air in the blinking of an eye; the dead in Christ first, followed by those still alive. This refers to all who have accepted Jesus as their Savior from the cross to the instant of the Rapture; no matter their race or nationality. Those who are not in Christ probably won’t even hear the trumpet or shout as it all happens in less than one second.

Soon after the Rapture is over, the world will enter a 7-year period of time starting with the signing of a peace treaty with Israel and all the other nations that were against her. God will take out His wrath on the world during this period of time; on this sin-filled world. He will allow “discipline” on His chosen, and many will die. Zechariah 13:8 tells us 2/3 will die, but God will preserve a remnant, and when Jesus makes His appearance on earth at His physical second coming, all will accept Him as Messiah.

God made a covenant with Abraham that He would bless those who blessed Abraham and his offspring; but would curse those who cursed them. (Genesis 12:3) Even though the Father has had “issues” with Israel all through their history, this covenant stands.

It would be wonderful if all the Jewish people would accept Jesus today, and avoid the Wrath to come. The same can be said for every person on this earth. However, Jesus knew believers would be in the minority and spoke of it in Matthew 7:13-14.

God is not respecter of persons, (Romans 2:11) and all who call out to the Lord for Salvation will be saved. (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13; Romans 10:9) It is everyone’s choice as to who they will follow; Jesus or Satan. There are no other options. Best case scenario would be to accept the Savior now, and avoid all the wrath that will happen here. It’s getting worse in this world every day, but nothing like what the last 7-years will hold. Call today, be secure in your tomorrow. The Wrath and all the descriptions in Revelation are not myths. The events will happen, and it will be even worse than what has been described.

As I started out, there are a whole lot of people who will take this as foolishness. That’s their option. My task is to present a way to escape what will be the worst 7 years on this earth, whether you believe it or not. Those who will not accept Jesus now or during that time will be given a place in line at the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:11-15), and finally have their place in the Lake of Fire. This message and many others will be shown to them forever as they had a chance to turn their destiny around. Please call on the Savior today, and your forever will be beyond wonderful.
