Jesus/Yeshua: Prophecies Fulfilled – Part 2

Jesus/Yeshua: Prophecies Fulfilled – Part 2
By Dennis Huebshman

Continuing with the Prophecies selected. As stated in Part 1, I have used abbreviated versions of the texts given, but I sincerely invite you to read the total content. Also, I’m sure there are more verses that could be used, but I would not have room in numerous posts to list them all.

#7 – THE MESSIAH WILL BE BETRAYED BY ONE OF HIS OWN FOLLOWERS – Psalm 41: 9 – Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared by bread lifted his heel against me.

Psalm 55: 12-13 – It is not an enemy who taunts me – I could bear that. It is not my foes who so arrogantly insult me – I could have hidden from them. Instead, it is you – my equal, my companion and close friend. (can you feel the anguish of the writer?)

Fulfilled: John 13: 18, 21, 26 – I am not saying these things to all of you because I know so well each one of you I chose. The scriptures declare, “The one who shares my food has turned against Me” and this will soon come true… Now Jesus was in great anguish of spirit, and He exclaimed, “The truth is one of you will betray me! It is the one to whom I give the bread dipped in the sauce.” And when He had dipped it, He gave it to Judas, son if Simon Iscariot. (see also Matthew 26: 47, 49-50 and Luke 22: 21-22, 47)

#8 – THE MESSIAH WILL BE BETRAYED For 30 PIECES OF SILVER -Zechariah 11: 12-13 – so they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver….and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord.

Fulfilled – Matthew 26: 14-16 – Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the priests and asked, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.

Matthew 27: 3-4 – When Judas, who betrayed Him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the priests and said, “I have sinned for I have betrayed an innocent man…”

#9 – THE MESSIAH TO DIE BY CRUCIFIXION WITH PIERCED HANDS AND FEET – Psalm 22: 14-16 – My life is poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint. My heart is like melting within Me. My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of My mouth. You have laid Me in the dust and left Me for dead. My enemies surround Me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on Me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

Zechariah 12:10 – Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David, and all the people of Jerusalem. They will look on Me whom they have pierced and mourn Him as for an only son.

(It should be noted, crucifixion was not a known method of execution until the Roman empire took hold.)

Fulfilled – Mark 15:20 – When they were finally tired of mocking Him, they took off the purple robe and put His own clothes on Him again. Then they led Him away to be crucified. (Also, Matthew 27:31; John 19: 15-16)

#10 – THE MESSIAH’S BONES WILL NOT BE BROKEN – Numbers 9: 12 – They must not leave any of the lamb until the next morning, and they must not break any of its bones. They must follow all the normal regulations concerning the Passover. (remember, Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb Of God)

Fulfilled: John 19: 31-37 – So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two men crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus, they saw that He was already dead, so they didn’t break His legs. One of the soldiers however, pierced His side with a spear and blood and water flowed out. These things happened in fulfillment of the Scriptures that say, “Not one of His bones will be broken, and they will look on Him whom they have pierced.” (Psalm 34:20)

#11 – THE MESSIAH WILL DIE AS A SIN OFFERING – Isaiah 53: 5-6; 8, 12 – But He was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed. All of us have strayed away like sheep….

Fulfillment: 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 – I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me – that Christ died for our sins. Just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said.

1 Peter 2: 24 – He personally carried away our sins in His own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by His wounds. (Also: John 1:29; Acts 10:43; Acts 13: 38-39; Ephesians 1: 7 and Revelation 1:5)

#12 – THE MESSIAH’S GARMENTS WILL BE DIVIDED BY CASTING LOTS – Psalm 22:18 – They divide My clothes among themselves and threw dice for my garments.

Fulfilled – John 19: 23-24 – When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided His clothes among the four of them. They also took his robe, but it was seamless, woven in one piece from the top. They said, “Let’s not tear it but throw dice to see who gets it.” This fulfilled the Scripture that says, “They divided My clothes among themselves, and threw dice for my robe.”

#13 – THE MESSIAH WILL BE BURIED IN A RICH MAN’S TOMB – Isaiah 53:9 – He had done no wrong, and He never deceived anyone. But He was buried like a criminal; He was put in a rich man’s grave.

Fulfillment: Matthew 27: 57-60 – As evening approached, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea who was one of Jesus’ followers went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. And Pilate issued an order to release it to him. Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a long linen cloth. He placed it in his own tomb, which had been carved out of rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance as he left.

And now, we are about to come to the two most important Fulfillments of all. The Resurrection and the Ascension. I wish I could give ALL the prophecies that Jesus has fulfilled, however these should be enough to at least convince you to look further.

#14 – THE MESSIAH WILL BE RAISED FROM THE DEAD – Psalm 16:10 – For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your Godly One to rot in the grave.

Psalm 30:3 – You brought me up from the grave, O Lord, You kept me from falling into the dark pit of death.

Fulfilled: Acts 2: 27-31 – For you will not leave My soul among the dead or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave. Dear Brothers, think about this. David wasn’t referring to himself when he spoke these words, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here among us. But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath one of David’s own descendants would sit on David’s throne as the Messiah. David was looking into the future and predicting the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying the Messiah would not be left among the dead and His body would not rot in the grave.

1 Corinthians 15: 17-20 – And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless, and you are still under condemnation for your sins. But the fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead and He has become the first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again.

#15 – THE MESSIAH WILL SIT AT GOD’s RIGHT HAND – Psalm 110:1 – The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit in honor at My right hand until I humble Your enemies making them a footstool under Your feet.

Fulfilled – Mark 16:19 – When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

Acts 2: 32-36 – This prophecy was speaking of Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this. Now He sits on the throne of the highest honor in Heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as He had promised, gave Him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us just as you see and hear today. For David himself never ascended into heaven, yet he said, “The Lord said to my Lord, sit in honor at My right hand until I humble Your enemies making them a footstool under your feet.” So, let it be clearly known by everyone in Israel that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified to be both Lord and Messiah. (Also Hebrews 10: 12-13)

From here, the next two major events to take place are the “taking of the Church from this earth” or Rapture, and then the final “7 weeks spoken of by Daniel”. The Rapture is for ALL believers as told in 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18. Unless you have accepted Yeshua (Jesus) as your MESSIAH and Savior, you will not go with Him in the Rapture. Instead, you will be subject to the worst 7 years this earth has ever seen, and this is so unnecessary.

It’s not a question of religion as Jesus had the most problems with the religious leaders of His day. It’s about accepting Him as your Savior, and you have to do this yourself. No One Else Can Do It For You! If your mom is or was a Christian, great. But it only applies to her. You can’t get to Him on her faith or any one else’s.

Also, these are only 15 of all the prophecies that Jesus fulfilled, and that the Father has done also. Remember, the odds of anyone else doing this is nill.

An event took place that is told of in several places in the Bible, and the date was May 14, 1948. Israel once again became a nation after over 2000 years of not existing. The people have always been in the world, but were scattered because of their disobedience to the Father. This is believed to have started an end-time clock ticking to the Rapture, the 7-year Tribulation and finally Jesus actual return to the earth. I leave you with three verses I have used extensively in my messges:

John 14:6 – Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by me.

Also, Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13 – ALL who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

There is no third option. Accept Jesus/Yeshus or be separated from Him forever. Your Choice.
