MEXICO CITY, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Two moderate earthquakes shook Mexico on Monday, frightening residents but causing no serious injuries or damage, Mexico City's civil protection agency said.

The first quake, measuring 5.6 magnitude, hit at 11:41 a.m. local time, shaking southern Mexico's Chiapas state and Guatemala, which borders Mexico to the south. Frightened residents ran into the streets, but no injuries were reported.

The epicenter was 82 km underground, 100 km northwest of Tapachula, a Mexican city on the border with Guatemala.

The second quake measured at 5.8 magnitude and hit at 3:56 p.m. local time, 90 km southwest of Morelia, the capital of western Mexico state Michoacan, with the epicenter 80 km underground.

Now, this makes Chile, Peru, Columbia, Guatamala, Mexico...And this is just in the past few weeks. The next neighbor up is the US!
