    As part of my worship of our Lord and my meditation upon the blessings of our God tonight, I came upon this song. I pray it speaks to you as it spoke to me.

    I sense an awesome moving of the Holy Spirit,
    I see His countenance resting on your face;
    I know that there are angels hovering all around us
    For the presence of the Lord is in this place.

    He is here! Hallelujah!
    He is here! Amen!
    He is here! Holy Holy!
    I will bless His name again.
    He is here! listen closely:
    Hear Him calling out your name.
    He is here! you can touch Him;
    You will never be the same!

    I searched for peace among the shadows dark and lonely,
    And I gave up on finding that strong and lasting love;
    I tasted all the things that sin could think to offer me.
    But today I feast on manna from above!

    He is here! Hallelujah!
    He is here! Amen!
    He is here! Holy Holy!
    I will bless His name again.
    He is here! listen closely:
    Hear Him calling out your name.
    He is here! you can touch Him;
    You will never be the same!

    He is here! Hallelujah!
    He is here! Amen!
    He is here! Holy Holy!
    I will bless His name again.
    He is here! listen closely:
    Hear Him calling out your name.
    He is here! you can touch Him;
    You will never be the same!

    He is here! you can touch Him;
    You will never be, You will never be, the same!
    You will never be the same!

    Indeed! Once we have touched Him and He has touched us, we can never be the same. The deep and abiding peace and joy of His Presence, of His fellowship and communion, spoils us for everything else. As a dear friend of mine said to me in the midst of Satanic oppression not long ago: "I cried out to God and told Him 'You have to help me! Because You are all I have. I can never go back to the world; so if You do not help me I have nothing at all.'" (God, of course, helped him, and the valley of oppression only served to refine him, making him stronger.)

    I have no idea if anything is behind the music other than the worship of our Lord and an expression of the palpable presence of Jesus Christ in the midst of worshiping Christians, encouraging all to reach out and touch the Savior. The words and music were written by L. Kirk Talley. The song was named "Best Gospel Song of the Year" at the 1992 Dove Awards. Talley is a contemporary Southern Gospel songwriter and performer from Tennessee. He has written such songs as Step Into The Water, If He Hung The Moon, and No Other Word for Grace, but Amazing. You can find a complete bio for him on Wikipedia: Kirk Talley - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

    I sing the chorus at my church all the time, always liked it, but this is the first time I heard the whole song. Beautiful, thanks for sharing!
