Dell didn't make the list? LOL Hubby just got me an Inspiron 1501 laptop complete with DSL and Audio/Visual capabilities for Chanukkah and it Rocks! I can finally watch the YouTube stuff!

I just got a Dell Inspiron 1501 too, it rocks!!! Love the widescreen.

I'm curious as to what the "other" computer was...? Is it the steam driven one still warped in the 1950's?

One very nice Windows PC; and 3 Windows laptops -- one very nice (for DD who is in college) and two so-so (Translation: in about six months or so they'll be boat anchors too).

I use my husband's laptop. It's a Toshiba XP. I don't even know what that means. My youngest has a desktop HP. He is getting a desktop for Christmas. It is called Alien Ware.:eek: He says it's Too Cool. I just want to play the Sims again.:laughbounce Can't do it on this laptop.

I had one built for me by a friend 3 years ago or so. It's a Potpourri PC. :D
I need a new computer though, this one has developed a wacky and annoying tendency to shut itself down whenever it feels like it.
Plus, I need another one so I can multitask and not have Photoshop slow down due to my need to transfer files/play music/chat/use the scanner at the same time I'm retouching. Must be more productive!

Mine is almost a doorstop, (you still have to crank the handle on the side of it to make it work), combined with my lightning fast dial-up connection. Supposed to be getting a satellite high speed hookup within a week or so, (yea) an my youngest daughter's bf is going to build me a new puter.

My old computer is from the mid-90s. I was telling one of my friends about it and he said, "That's not a computer, that's a box." I also have a newer one, plus a laptop that came with my scholarship.

My old PC too, is from the late 90s version. And at this point, I wish I could get a new Windows 2000 or a new version, but I can't afford it.
