First thing I did was send a text to my dad "THE GIANTS WIN THE PENANT!" He's a super dooper M*A*S*H fan, and rooting for the Pats...so a Maj. Winchester moment (even though that was baseball) was so called for. To be honest, the team that won deserved it...they got the most points and played a good game. How many games won or lost during the season doesn't matter.

Congrats to the New Jersey Giants (yes, they play all home games in East Rutherford, New Jersey)!!!

Regular season records are meaningless once a team makes the playoffs, and the Giants did so by beating Dallas, in Dallas, in the last game of the regular season to win the NFC East Division.

The NY Giants then beat the elite of the NFC - Green Bay and San Francisco - to make it to the "big dance" with the Patriots, champions of the AFC.

Just as in 2007, the Giants were once again the team of destiny, and Eli Manning is without question one of the elite of all NFL quarterbacks.
