Niner's Out

My husband's team the 49er's are out of the playoffs. It's a sad day for him now.

Funny thing is our church is going to have a chili cookoff/superbowl party. My husband said we could go to the church for football if his Niner's weren't in the Superbowl, because if they were in the SB he would want to be able to party and drink beer. I told him well you better watch what you say because God would rather you not "party and drink beer" and be in a Christian environment. Today his Niner's lost their opportunity to be in the SuperBowl. Now he says I jinxed his team. Seriously? Ugh! MEN!

Well, this has been a terrible year for my sports fanship! My Lions lost, my Saints lost, My 'Niners lost ... and in college ball my LSU Tigers lost. I am giving up cheering for any team because it is clear to me that I am a jinx. So if anybody out there wants their team to win, just let me know which team that is and I will guarantee their win by cheering for the opposition!

I should mention I am also an Oregon Ducks fan and they DID win the Rose Bowl ... but I attribute that to their snazzy new uniforms which clearly were superior to my jinx.

With the exception of the Oregon Ducks, my sentiments exactly Matt. I will watch the Super Bowl but I don't care who wins.
