    Default Tebow's Stats

Surely, the amazing Tebow Stats warrants a discussion on the main forum!! I'll start it off. 316 yards on the 3rd anniversary of winning the college championship on January 8, 2009. This, after being banned from putting 3:16 on the face black by the NCAA (originally put on by Tim to pay Tribute to his favorite passage, John 3:16).

Anyone else - there is LOTS of numbers of significance from this game to enjoy. And please don't tell me something this amazing should be put in the Sports Dugout. Usually I would agree, but surely this is worthy of discussion on the main site.

Just my thoughts. This simply put me in a GREAT mood today!! What a God we serve!! MARANATHA!!

I love Tebow and his zeal for God. What I don't like is how it has been turned into a joke by so many people, including those that claim to be christian, but are proving the opposite. Ridiculing someone that prays, for the way he does it, it's detestable. Truly disgusted by the way so many people are handling it(not surprised, but still disgusted). That being said, if God has used Tebow to touch just one person's heart, it would be awesome. And you can rest assured, He definitely has.

We cannot equate standing up for our faith with worldly success.

Tim Tebow is a successful footballer and I am sure the Lord has given him his ability.

However there are many Christians without great skills in their chosen fields and may not see any real success.

I have known well skilled Christians who have lost jobs despite their ability because of standing up for their Christian Faith.

I have experienced this twice in my career. Persecuted by other staff with lies and accusations. I had been vindicated but mud sticks and my promotion/pay increase was affected because of the lies/accusations despite being proven false and my work/ability being proven to be very good. No reward/blessing. Both times it was related to my being challenged about my Christianity and my Christian values. I had to stand up for Christ and reject certain practices that was against my Faith and so it became a Faith issue. No success blessing experienced.

In the words of Michael Chang.

How did God help you on the Tour?

I think there’s a confidence knowing that everything is in God’s hands. I saw so many things happening in my life and I knew that they weren’t mere coincidences. I know that the Lord loves me, that He looks out for me and that He will always be with me and walk with me. It just brought me a great deal of satisfaction and comfort to know that no matter what happened, He would always take care of me. I’ve also learned that the Lord only asks that you go and you give your best for Him. I think it’s very easy to get very frustrated sometimes. There are times when you go out, you try your best and for some people, it’s just not good enough. Yet, I feel that God had given me this wonderful talent to play tennis. I realize that I would not have been where I was in tennis without the Lord, without Him giving me the strength to be able to accomplish what I was able to accomplish. What’s nice is that, as long as my priorities were set and straight, I’d be able to go out with the mentality to really leave the winning and losing up to the Lord. You know, when you give your best, it’s all He asks of you, it’s all you can ask of yourself and it’s really all people can ask of you. I think that life is really too short to be so caught up in the things of the world. Just go out and give your best. To me that’s pretty simple.
Tebow's faith should not be measured in terms of his success on the Football field.

Some Chrsitians with great Faith can suffer greatly and have little worldly success or God's blessing here on Earth. Our success on Earth is not a measuring stick of our Faith nor how pleased God is with our lives.

Tebow says he doesn't pray for success, he prays for thanks, he thanks the Lord for everything he has, even his success. I honestly think this is an amazing thing. I don't believe in coincidence, I believe in God.
