Default WKU's basketball coach to be fired right after the Louisville game?

That's what I'm hearing--will be announced maybe this Tuesday.

Is it odd to fire a basketball coach before the end of the season? Not at WKU. If you mess with basketball at WKU you take your life in your own hands--lol...somewhat kidding about that. Somewhat. WKU has started out with a losing season--that's not tolerated. And the fact WKU will be destroyed by Louisville tonight is a final nail in the coffin.

Bro, why don't you just give up and join Chris to cheer for Troy?

If we don't get rid of this coach, I expect Troy to sweep us in the series this year! Seriously!

Boy, WKU had Louisville right where they wanted them with almost a 10 point lead and then things went downhill from there. I was pulling for WKU the whole time. Kind of reminds me of Troy self exploding to LSU that year. Sorry for the loss WKU.

WKU had Louisville down 13 at one point at Yum! Arena (or as we Loserville haters call it Dum! Center). And even though those were Freshmen on WKU's team, the natives in Bowling Green, KY and all points in the Commonwealth are not happy at all with McDonald as coach. They should have fired the guy last season, but didn't.

At least WKU still has more wins against Louisville overall. Something like 39-30 total. Despite 100 years of basketball and given kentucky, who won't play anyone that will beat them, the series is 2-3. So we've played kraptucky five times out of 100 years--and beaten them twice. Last time at Rupp Arena in 2001 and stomped them by 13 points at their home (you can tell the love here too, right? haha).

We'll see. But the rumors are hot and heavy on firing the coach effective 1/1. Next game is at Louisiana-Monroe the 29th.

Most everyone wants Ray Harper, the asst. coach, to take over. He's won several national championships at Division 2 Kentucky Wesleyan. He ought to know something about basketball. I don't think Ken McDonald (some call him KMac) even knows how to spell it. Plus has a masters from WKU.

Our biggest mistake was not keeping Tom Crean, who is coaching at IU--when Crean was an assistant at WKU.

But the current coach, McDonald, is a protege of Tom Barnes of Clemson/Texas fame. Some of the most boring, ineffective basketball ever designed by the hand of man.

OK, now I'm getting dissertation level---I'll stop now! LOL
