Now...which bowl?
WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY HILLTOPPERS: 44 conference championships, third-most in NCAA history. 40 seasons with 20+ wins, sixth-most in NCAA history. 38 All-Americans, 35 national post-season appearances, 22 NCAA Tournament berths. 14th in NCAA history in all-time wins. 8th in NCAA history in all-time winning percentage (.670). 2002 NCAA Division 1AA National Football Champions
Probably the New Orleans Bowl.

LOL...This bowl thing is like a big Vegas roulette game. I've seen so many "predictions". I was thinking the Unv. of Louisiana, from the Sun Belt, was going to this one. I've seen predictions of WKU going to the Compass Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, Military Bowl, Beef O'Brady Bowl, the Music City Bowl, etc.
Most WKU fans are trying to learn this new thing called football--hahah--after only being able to even be called up to play in a bowl since officially going Division 1 in 2010 (going 2-10 last year--and the first year, 2009, where we couldn't even go to a bowl or win the conference because it was the inaugural year of D1 and an NCAA rule, we went 0-12). Good thing too, because our flagship, basketball, really, really stinks! That is another story and will lend itself to a riot against the Administration at WKU--complete with pitchforks and everything! lol
Most WKU folks were hoping kentucky would beat Tennessee (and they did for the first time in 26 years), not because they're uk fans, but because it kept UT from being bowl eligible--thus helping WKU secure a bowl.
Right now WKU leads the nation in minutes of possession and has the top running backs (Bobby Rainey) in the country(who just busted 227 yards against Troy) and broke Earl Campbell's record, etc.

Big hit from "Ol' Hickory" Andrew Jackson--Troy going for it on 4th and one.

Looks like they picked the Sun Belt teams with better overall records from what I can tell. They usually say it takes 8 wins to get into a bowl game.
But anyway you look at it WKU is starting to do much better in the conference. Now Troy needs to get their act together.![]()
Looks like Troy got whipped again yesterday by Conference Champ Arkansas State.![]()

I hope next year is better. Hopefully we will be raptured out here before it starts.

WKU got stiffed out of a bowl. The SBC conference champ, number 3 and 4th place go to bowls. WKU, placing 2nd in the Sun Belt goes nowhere. Incredible. I guess because WKU is the new kid on the block or something?? I mean, how could you have a team, who has only played 2 years of D1 football, going to a bowl? What a rip.
