This article goes on to give an extensive list of items that RFID tags are already in, (such as your luggage if you fly Delta) consumer items that they are planned to be put in (Like Michelin tires), as well as a plan to begin putting them in the Euro.

Oops ... you're right. I misread the date, but it was still news to me. LOL I had no idea so many of our daily puchases contained chips in them.
