    Earth's Collapse is Imminent, Researchers Say

    Scientists at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada, say that we have taken our planet on the track of "irreversible collapse". The point of no return may be reached this century, they say. The measures of preventing a scenario they compare to the event of the extinction of the dinosaurs, are about as likely to be implemented as oil drilling to stop tomorrow.

    If your life revolves around sustainability, this research will definitely ruin your day. If you enjoy debating the existence and effects of global warning, this study will become part of your next discussion to argue the value of panic creation. According to the authors of a new paper that "used scientific theories, toy ecosystem modeling and paleontological evidence as a crystal ball", there is not much left to do to save our planet from a state-shift in Earth's biosphere. And even if we can, the proposed measures, which include an immediate "reduction" of the number of humans inhabiting Earth, may not be popular enough to be considered.

    . . . . . . . . . . . .

    I can think of one way that an immediate reduction of the numbers of humans inhabiting the earth can happen (hint: rapture)

    Indeed, and God saw this coming...

    Isaiah 24:4-8

    4 The earth dries up and withers,
    the world languishes and withers,
    the exalted of the earth languish.
    5 The earth is defiled by its people;
    they have disobeyed the laws,
    violated the statutes
    and broken the everlasting covenant.
    6 Therefore a curse consumes the earth;
    its people must bear their guilt.
    Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,
    and very few are left.
    7 The new wine dries up and the vine withers;
    all the merrymakers groan.
    8 The gaiety of the tambourines is stilled,
    the noise of the revelers has stopped,
    the joyful harp is silent.

    What we need is a good world war.

    They sure used a lot of words to not really justify their statement. All I got from it is that they feel that the earth is overpopulated by humans. They never did say what the collapse is going to be. Will it turn into a giant prune? Will it shrink to 1/2 its current diameter? Turn into a dust ball?

    I guess they just told us in terms that us uneducated folks just can't assimilate.

    I was thinking the same thing, they really didn't say a thing about what is suppose to happen. You would think if they could anticipate the collapse they would be able to tell us exactly what this collapse entails.

    They will get their prescribed wish of de-population soon enough. I am sure it won't take them long to figure out the reduction in humans didn't make a bit of difference in the outcome.
