A flesh-eating form of pneumonia that is easily passed between healthy people on public transport is
spreading across the UK, experts have warned.

The deadly strain of MRSA called USA300 passes easily through skin-to-skin contact. It can also survive
on surfaces and so has the potential to be picked up on crowded buses and tubes.

Is there something you know about that would deter this?

I know that honey can be a really good deterant to bacterial infections on the skin. Worked wonderfully on my outdoor cat when he had a war wound. Also, I know that when people in the hospital have had gangrene set into the skin, honey has worked miracles in stopping it flat.

There's also this awesome stuff called GSE (GrapeFruit Seed Extract) that has been a God send for our family. Kills mold, bacteria, viruses and parasites. It would be something I would most definitely take with me to a third world country!

It can inhibit some medicines thought...like the onces that say not to eat grapefruits while taking.

Great news about the honey! I've had MRSA 4 times, and the Vancomycin that is used to treat it is becoming ineffective. My sister has MRSA last year, and her doctor wanted to prescribe a new antibiotic to treat it, but the cost of the new drug was so expensive, her insurance would not pay for it. I carry alcohol-based hand sanitizer with me wherever I go, and I use it a lot. Now I'll need to stock up on honey!! :)

This sounds awful! I've had 1 boil in my life. I was 6 and I STILL remember how much it hurt. The Bible speaks of this as one of the plagues. I cannot even imagine being covered with those things.
