12 Infected With New Swine Flu Strain

The days of medical masks at airports and widespread panic may be coming back—that's because at least 12 humans are believed
to have been infected with a new strain of swine flu that's not covered by this season's vaccine.

The new swine flu strain, H3N2v, has shown at least some potential for human-to-human transmission in those 12 individuals,
which makes it especially dangerous. Between 2009 and mid-2010, more than 17,000 people died worldwide from the highly
contagious H1N1 swine flu strain, leading the World Health Organization to call the strain a pandemic.

One thing that irks me is that there are 7 billion people and 17.000 die from bird flu. This not a pandemic..... it is like 2.42857e-6 of the population....

IMHO this is just another means of conditioning people so that they are insinsitive to a real pandemic....you know something like the black plague where a significant portion of the population died...

You make something commonplace and pretty soon everyone pays no attention until it is too late...

The black plague was one, and the swine flu epidemic was pretty bad too. This could quite well get out of hand. Hmm, just remember a good portion of the World's population IS supposed to die. You never can tell when some inocuous is going to change and become a virulant strain. I keep reading and hearing about extremely antibiotic resistant strains of staph. Could anyone imagine the devastation if THAT became airborne?

We usually have about 30,000 a year die from 'regular' flu a year in this country (yeah, they forget to mention this in the MSM), but when 17k die from this flu worldwide, the UN declares it a pandemic? Pffft--what globalist clowns and idiots. Somebody gets a commission selling garbage flu shots in the UN--that's what this is all about.

best i could find was the following figures and they are as follows (last update 2009?) Swine Flu Count - Worldwide statistics of the H1N1 Influenza A Pandemic

44640 cases
10837 deaths

so 7 billion peoples and 10837 die from this disease = 1.5481e-6 % of world population

here are some real sobering numbers

small pox for example has a 300+ Million death toll in just the 20th century

spanish flu wiped out 50-100+ million in 2 years (1918-19)

black death estimated 75+ millions 340 - 1771

malaria kills 2+ million a year

AIDS killed 25+ million from 81-present

Disclaimer: In no way am i saying that the people who died are insignificant, I am just pointing out the statistical reality of the situation and the adverse effect of the main stream media when it comes to reporting these things....
