What sort of a "sign" is this? (2015 total solar eclipse)

The other day I was looking into the whole bloodmoon thing, and also saw mention of two solar eclipses in 2015. EDIT: To be clear, this isn't a bloodmoon post. Please don't hijack it into a bloodmoon discussion.

Now, I know that a lunar eclipse is widely visible from whichever portions of the world happen to be within view of the moon. But a solar eclipse is generally visible along a narrow band. And so I looked up a map of the March 20 2015 total solar eclipse. After all, the path might pass straight over Israel, and wouldn't that be something!

...wha??? What kind of a "sign" is this? The portion of the eclipse which reaches totality will only be visible from the North Atlantic and Norwegian sea? Very few people are going to see the totality portion of this eclipse (in person, at least). But the vast and mighty empire of the Faroe Islands will see it's totality! And the superpower of Svalbard, Norway and their mighty city of Longyearbyen (population 2060) will get a particularly good look, if any of the inhabitants dare to venture out into the cold of March (average March H/L temp -13/-20F)

According to the first map, all of Europe will at least see a partial eclipse. As for Israel, they will just barely be able to see an eclipse. By barely, I mean less than 10% coverage of the solar disk, if I am reading the map correctly. Northern Eurpoe will see 80-90% coverage, with most of Europse seeing less than 80%.

If God wanted this to be some great sign, why not pass the totality over Europe or the United States or Israel? Maybe because he knew it would generate more date-setting than has already been generated by the bloodmoon finding (as far as I can tell from the videos I've watched, the discoverer of the bloodmoons rejects date setting, but his findings have been hijacked by the date setters). Maybe because this isn't a sign at all. Maybe it is. It's not a slam-dunk either way, but for me, it's a thing that makes me go "Hmmmm...."

My point? Don't get too caught up in hysteria, but be watchful and keep spreading the Gospel. If somebody comes up to you with a March 20 2015 date, remind them that the totality of this eclipse doesn't pass over any significant areas. Israel barely even gets to see it (except on the news). However, I wouldn't be surprised if somebody forges a map that does show the totality going over Israel. If that happens, remember what you've read here, and point them towards the truth.

That's right, this is just another eclipse. Both solar and lunar eclipses have been occurring ever since God created the earth, sun and moon. And when He created them He knew when each and every one of them would occur, from the very first to the very last.

Don't get too caught up in hysteria, but be watchful and keep spreading the Gospel.
