They are still saying that it's headed for northern Mexico/Brownsville, TX. But many are quick to add that they cannot guarantee that it won't change course to affect more of the spill area.

I'm hearing all kinds of reports with Alex - some say to Brownsville/Mexico, others to New Orleans/MS, and others to Florida.

This is something to keep a very close eye on.

Alex came ashore in Mexico near the Texas border late Wednesday, flooding roads, forcing several thousand people to evacuate. Hurricane Alex had become a Category 2 storm a few hours before landfall and carried 105 mph winds, the National Hurricane Center said. The winds slowed to 100 mph as the storm center reached Soto La Marina, about 110 miles south of Brownsville, Texas.

Pray for these poor people. They live in rickety wooden shacks.

Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

for these people. And also for people further east who live near beaches where "baseball sized tar balls" and crude have washed ashore pushed by Alex's wind and waves.
