    Default Tsunami Warning After Quake Hits Chile

    A tsunami warning has been issued for Chile and Peru after an earthquake struck near the Chilean city of Concepcion.

    The quake, which measured 8.3 on the Richter Scale, also shook buildings and caused power cuts in the capital Santiago.

    The quake has now been upgraded to 8.8! This is a massive quake and comes just days after the quake near Okinawa.

    The birth pangs are getting stronger and closer together.

    This was an 8.8 Richter scale Earthquake with multiple other quakes associated with it. See the real-time US and World earthquake graphic I posted a couple of days ago.

    This .gif image below shows the swarm (in Real-Time) of at least 26 earthquakes within the 10 degree grid of 30-40 degrees South by 70-80 degrees West. They range from Richter 4.9 to 8.8 and are occurring on top of one another and along a general south to north Tectonic line stretching for approximately 500 miles.



    Tsnami's generated by the 8.8 quake will travel across the Pacific Ocean for the next 6 to 10 hours.

    These quakes continue to occur at this time, an additional four 4.9 -to 5.2 quakes have occured since I began typing this post.
