    Default Can we change the biblos bible version?

    When there is a Bible reference in any post, we can mouse over it to get to biblos for the bible verse. Is there a way to change the version to something other than KJV?

    Thanks in advance.
    Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)

    And He tells me I am His own;
    And the joy we share as we tarry there,
    None other has ever known.

    Only if the person specifies another version in the citation itself. For example, if they were to write: John 3:18; John 3:18 NKJV; John 3:18 NASB; John 3:18 NIV ... etc. Unfortunately this only covers the most common translations.

    The best thing to do is to have another tab open in your browser with a program like bible.cc (I like it better than Bible Gateway) and then pull up the parallel versions of the scripture in it. For example, go to bible.cc, select John from the book drop down list, select chapter 3, select verse 18, and you will be faced with a dozen and a half versions of the same verse, from the KJV through the modern translations all the way to old bibles like Darby, Weymouth or the Aramaic. To get the entire chapter in which that verse appears, in the version you want, just click on the verse in the relevant translation. You will also notice you have access to cross references to that verse, commentaries on that verse, plus the original Greek and a Greek lexical analysis of that verse. (Hebrew for OT verses, of course). You can also a translation of that verse into all other major languages.

    I hope this helps, bro.

    Thanks Adrian, yes, this helps.

    I was researching on biblos if there was a way to do it. It sounded like it could only be changed by you mods, and then only to one specific version for everyone. Besides, this way I get an opportunity to brush up on my Greek.

    You speak Geek ?
    Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
