I seem to be having a problem copying an Excel spreadsheet into a Thread response. Can anyone help?
Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
mattfivefour: We need to learn to hear His voice. This does not come from living our lives our way and praying once in a while or having a quick glance at our Bible from time to time.
You need to use the "Save as another format" option. If you go to your customize menu feature in Excel you can find this command and add it to your menu bar. Then when you open the spreadsheet you want, you can save it as a text document. You will get a couple of messages during the save process telling you that *.txt files do not have some of the features of Excel, etc, etc, but just ignore them and click OK. Make sure you save the text file to a place you can easily access, such as My Desktop, or My Documents. Then open the text file with Notepad, select all, copy, and then paste into a thread.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Mattfivefour, but I'm still having a problem. When I save it as a .txt file the embedded chart does not save, only the original Excel spreadsheet. I've also tried to use the attachment feature on the Forum, but I keep getting Invalid File. It seems that no matter what I do, I can't get any type of file to paste into this Forum, although I had no trouble with a signature or an avatar.
I charted the information that Glory to God had posted re:magnitude 6.0 quakes and above, and the curve this data describes is incredible. The line pretty much snakes along from 1900 until 2000, but beginning in 2001the curve takes a DRAMATIC turn upward!
Since it's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, I thought others might like to see this chart.

Ah, you did not mention in your original post that you had an embedded chart. I'm at work now, so cannot get to studying the issue. Let me look at it tonight and I'll see what I can come up with. In the meantime, here are two things to try:
1) Can you export the chart as a graphic? If so, all you have to do is then upload it to a site like Photobucket or Flickr and then paste the graphic link into a post, using the post img tags that this forum supplies you with.
2) Can you make the chart full screen? Or nearly so? If so, then do that and then press and hold the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard for a second. Then go to an image editing program (even Paint works) and then click Edit and Paste. A picture of what was on your desktop will then appear. Now all you have to do is crop it, size it and then upload it as above.

My son should be off work in a couple of hours, and I'll ask him to bail me out. (He's used to it!)
Thanks for your input Matt, but my son can look over my shoulder as I'm getting in too deep for my abilities.
