Good question. It may be because North Korean considers it's leaders god or god like. That's the official stance. Whether their people actually believe this--free of physical assault, death or harassment is questionable I would presume.
They were jailing people if they weren't "crying hard enough" during the state funeral of the last one who kicked the bucket. So I guess having a "sacred war", so declared by these goofs, shouldn't surprise me.
