War drums are beating worldwide.Today Kim warned US-South on war exercises.And also China warned Taiwan again..It all comes as the Euphrates area of the Middle East is about to explode,with Syria,Turkey Saudi Arabia and Iran ,Jordan,Egypt,NATO all talk of war.
Things could blow soon..

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told his troops to be vigilant during upcoming training exercises between South Korea and the United States, saying they should be ready to lead a "sacred war," state media reported Saturday.

Kim's comments came during a visit on Mu Island with troops who participated in the 2010 shelling of South Korea's Yeonpyeong Island, an attack that North Korea at the time said South Korea provoked by holding war games off their shared coast

"He ordered the service persons of the detachment to be vigilant against every move of the enemy and not to miss their gold chance to deal at once deadly counter blows at the enemy, if even a single shell is dropped on the waters or in the area where the sovereignty of (North Korea) is exercised," the state-run KCNA news agency reported.

The warning followed an announcement by the United States and South Korea that their joint "Ulchi Freedom Guardian" training exercises would begin Monday and conclude by August 31.

How does an officially atheist nation carry out anything "sacred"?

They aren't actually atheist.

Not really...every few months they start with the "saber rattling" and then when they realize that no one is really listening, it just fades away. China is restraining them and wouldn't allow them to do anything right now.

Good question. It may be because North Korean considers it's leaders god or god like. That's the official stance. Whether their people actually believe this--free of physical assault, death or harassment is questionable I would presume.

They were jailing people if they weren't "crying hard enough" during the state funeral of the last one who kicked the bucket. So I guess having a "sacred war", so declared by these goofs, shouldn't surprise me.
