I know there's a lot of stuff in the English-language media about the potential for an Irish nationalist terror act or disruptive hoax. That would be the total extent of an "inside job" as This phrased it. Then there's the speculation that Al Qaeda or Iran would use their terror cells to strike at U.S. or Israeli athletes. I seriously doubt that anything close to "Munich" could occur.

My biggist problem with the 2012 Olympics is the over-the-top Socialist overtones that the Obama Administration has added to the U.S. contingent. Nowhere is that more evident and in-your-face than in the uniforms issued to our athletes. It's actually quite repugnant imho.

Haven't you heard? The Olympic security organizers are saying to Terrorists, "Don't even think of trying to attack the Olympics in London"?

To read between the lines, the Olympic security organizers are claiming that "terrorist attacks against the Olympics will fail; and

Sounds more like they expect the TV ratings are going to be way down and they're trying to get more people to tune in to see if London gets nuked.

The last televised Olympics were a real joke. You got to see a minute of some event then five minutes of commercials. I won't be wasting my time this go around.

If you can get Canada's CTV network on cable/satellite where you live, get it. A lot of Americans watched the 2010 Winter Olympics on it. They showed ALL of the events and there weren't five minutes of commercials for every 1 minute of competition.
