Default Will there be one last Great Revival before the Rapture?

Here is an interesting article I recently came across. Not all agree with the events that precede the Rapture as outlined below (nor do I), but the resounding REAL message of this article is clear and one that I completely agree with: There will not be a great revival before the Rapture:

    WILL THERE BE REVIVAL?

The Holy Spirit TOLD US, in the very Word He inspired, that the end-time Church would be characterized by lukewarmness and that, at best, it would have "little strength" (Revelation 3:8,16).

I promise you the Holy Spirit was and is RIGHT.

I'd LOVE TO tell you that we will have one strong, united, vibrant and influential Church.

But arguing with the Spirit of Truth is FUTILE.

In fact, truer words were never spoken.

There may be outpourings of the Spirit on small groups and individuals, but Churchwide, not happening.

So, will there ever be ANOTHER great revival?

    Yes.

But contrary to religious teaching, it won't happen WITHIN the Church.

It won't come because of ANYTHING WE DO.

It won't come because of some EXTRAORDINARILY GIFTED preacher, either.

NO FLESH shall glory in His Presence.

Like ALL revivals in the past, it will be A SOVEREIGN ACT of God the Holy Spirit.

And that revival will come, according to Joel 2:28-32, IN THE VERY LAST MINUTES OR SECONDS OF this Church Age:

When there's A GREAT, SUDDEN SHAKING of earth, sea and sky (Hebrews 12:26; Haggai 2:6,21).

When the sea and waves begin to "roar" (reverberate) as a result (Luke 21:25).

When the earth's geography and topography are SUDDENLY and drastically rearranged (Revelation 6:14)...

When nations (gentiles) become distressed and perplexed, and people are dying FOR FEAR of the things that are coming on this earth (Luke 21:25, 26)...

When the sun INSTANTLY TURNS BLACK, the moon BLOOD-RED, there are millions of falling stars, the sky splits in two and JESUS APPEARS in HIS GLORY, there will be MANY who will cry out to Jesus IN THOSE VERY LAST MOMENTS, and be caught up to heaven in what is commonly referred to as the Rapture (Revelation 6:12).

THAT'S WHEN His Spirit will be poured on all flesh.

We don't know HOW MANY and we can't predict WHO will turn to Him, and WHO won't.

    But it WILL happen.

That will be THE LAST great revival in Church history.

This author is talking about the tribulation and the great revival happening at the rapture at the second coming. He is post-trib and therefore incorrect in his timing. The rapture will not happen at the second coming, and that is no longer the church age.

I don't think that there will be a great revival during the church age.
I definitely think that there will be one during the tribulation. I do agree
that pockets of revival can break out here and there in this present age
    but a massive revival?...I don't think so.

Untold millions will get saved during the Great Tribulation because they will be willing to lose their lives to gain eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Millions will be beheaded by the antiChrist for their testimony for Christ.

This is true, but like I said before, this will happen after the church has gone and before the second coming.

Cliff notes I took while listening to Joel Rosenberg on Moody just now:

Just listened to Rosenberg on "Revival in America". He really do not think so, but states it is possible but has to start with a person, then a family, then a church, then a group of them, until it spreads across the land. This can only happen by the Holy Spirit.

IMO, I believe there is indeed pockets of Revival occurring in some hearts and churches across the land, but the fire is doused at the threshold of the church and the end of the pew because of the divisions between the churches and church members. One thing I have noticed about churches is that they all have personalities. We spend a lot of time speaking about differences of doctrinal opinion being the cause for divisions--to be sure , that is true; but I also think we widely overlook personalities. Even within denominations and non-denominations of like doctrine you still see the division. Some of it is Pastors protecting against "Sheep Stealing" so they do not want to humbly admit the Spirit of God is moving in another church for fear that His own members may be drawn away. Some of it is just arrogance, condescension, castes and classes, and other traits. It is easy to define the foundational truths and find common ground but it is these other issues that we must also deal with. I have found that the rounded personality is the one that is more able to fellowship with other denominations than the one who has personality issues. These are easily seen by observing his/her personal relationships. If I cannot fellowship with my Church Members, whom I am supposed to love as Jesus loves, how can I fellowship with another church down the street? Revival is hindered because we have hindered it.

To have fellowship with one another we must first have daily fellowship with Christ!!!!!!!
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
    1Jn 1:6-7

Rosenberg On the US in Scripture: -Rev 18 Jer. 50-51 are the most used verses to try and put the US in the Bible, but he does not believe it. Believes there will be a rebuilt Babylon. Haggai 2 I will shake all nations includes US. - He believes it is not specifically defined.

I would like to know his opinion on the Jer. 50-51 passages that state Babylon will never ever be rebuilt. Jer. 50:37-39

    God Bless

I always thought that a revival was when people in the Church became more alive in Christ. Not when sinners give their lives to Christ asking to be Saved.
