Default What will they think afterward?

I have recently been pondering something. What will the world think happened after we're raptured? What will the antichrist say to deceive everyone? I feel like it should be so obvious. All the Christians and children disappeared. I feel like even those who are left behind, some of them will be smart enough to conclude, "that guy/gal who I thought was crazy, preaching about this rapture thingy must've been right!"

Maybe they will blame it all on nuclear fallout or something ridiculous

    Sorry if I'm

Lol, not beating a dead horse. I think its safe to say that we all enjoy talking about the Rapture. I mean, its so close afterall!

Purely speculating, I think one possible explanation would be that people were abducted by aliens. I know that sounds very sci-fi but, remember the audience. Really, that's the only thing that I've heard that seems like it would be plausible to the people left behind. Especially since so many people believe in aliens already. Plus, you have to think that there will probably be some tv evangelist left, what explanation would they give for not being taken? Unless they're honest & repentant then they'll probably want to save face & may even help spread whatever lie is thought up.

I think there will be a range of thoughts.

For those whose hearts are not completely hardened, I think the rapture will that thing that sinks a seed in/on their heart that leads to repentance.

For those who are truly lost...I think they will experience initial shock; then fear; then an easing of those emotions as things 'get better' followed by happiness; and eventually a weird coupling of horror, fear, and rage...all the result of or aimed at the Lord.

Islam might think it was allah cleansing the Earth. A lot might think it was aliens. Some might think "Mother Earth" cleaning house. Something about nuclear weapons possible. The pew warmers will know what happened. Antichrist will most likley use it to unite the world for sure. Who knows, but for sure I wont be here to see what the blame is on.

I believe so as well. There will be many not having any understanding until their friend or family member disappears right before their eyes.

It largely depends upon the individual after the rapture, but one thing I think that will be felt in common is fear and quite a bit of confusion.

The most liekly explanation that will be paletable to people will be the following:

    1. They were hindering man's advancement towards enlightenment and had to be removed. Now that they are gone, man can continue to the next level of enlightenment.

I speculate, YeuEmMaiMai has a point I've considered many times. Even read an article regarding this once. Can't remember where it was.

Human "evolution" had reached such a point that, in order to "reach the next level" those who could not accept a one world society and all that goes with it will be/are "selectively removed" in order for man to advance to that next level.

Only problem is, the "level" society will then advance to is beyond any evil this earth has ever experienced. Not to mention the judgements coming down on a world that has turned it's hearts agains the one ture God.

I think that those who are in the "western" culture will still be in a panic stage watching their world crumble as a result of the void left in their business, their families, and their financial losses. Everyone left behind will have known many people who are simply gone. The evidence in the graveyards will be staggering to anyone with at least 2 brain cells left.

Panic is not a state conducive to reasonable conclusions, and a bunker mentality will follow almost immediately. The arrival of the new great leader will come as wonderful news to a population living in a bunker mentality where it is every man for himself.

I believe chaos and lawlessness and war will be the rule of the days between our sudden departure (taking our constant prayers with us) and the imagined arrival of the angel of light liar takes the stage.

Many sheep will find their faith, and many wolves will devour them.
God will not be mocked much longer.

I will be so happy to be watching from the mezzanine but can you image the sheer joy for those who stand til death and then see the Lord? Every single creature who chooses the Lord now or then will know a bliss that we cannot imagine..Praise God!!!!

I hope they think "those crazy Christians were right".

I tell as many people as will listen to me there will be a rapture of God's people and that there will be a tribulation and they need to get right with Jesus.

So maybe some will remember me that crazy Christian woman and know they need to find Jesus.

I talk to many people when the time is right and I find so many do not even know what the rapture or have not even heard of it. They think I am nuts. They will find out one of these days but it will be too late.
The word was made flesh = Jesus John 1:14

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
    In the world ye will have tribulation but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world. John 16:33 Halleluiah!!!

I was talking about the nearness of the rapture and other things spoken of in the Bible with someone at work and a woman at a table next to me gave me a condescending look and then looked over and told the people at the table next to her, "That's never put any money in my pocket." Not what its about dear.

I agree with the UFO/alien theory based partly on this article:
    New Age Rapture

Also, I think it's possible (my own theory) that when we are raptured and receive our glorified bodies and meet Jesus in the air, our bodies might glow brightly like Jesus body did at the transfiguration. If that is the case and we stay in the clouds for more than a few seconds, we may be visible as bright spots of light to those still on the earth and be assumed to be "UFO's"....this is just possibly something that could convince the majority of people that UFO's explain the Rapture.

I think the left behind people will find our dead bodies and there will most likely be lots of "stuff" going on
    at the time .
And most wont figure out what is going on - I hope our loved ones do.

8 And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming—
9 even him, whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 and with all the deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,

That is an awesome theory! I never thought about that but, it certainly would help substantiate the alien/UFO lie.

    2Th 2:10-12
    (10) and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
    (11) Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,
    (12) in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
