Grant was 63 years old, and his mother is 94. This is the second child she has lost, her son Bruce died shortly before Grant was born. She does have a surviving son, Grant's brother.

We are sad to report that longtime prophecy teacher Grant Jeffrey has followed J. R. Church home to glory after a short but sudden illness. Grant has affected millions of lives with his books and teachings and he had a profound effect on my life, literally introducing me to the study of Bible prophecy. He will be greatly missed. While we mourn the loss of another great man of God, we continue to look forward to our great reunion in heaven, no doubt very, very soon. Please remember his wife Kaye today in your prayers.

I can't begin to fathom it. What a homecoming it must've been.

My mind has been spinning lately, watching in disbelief as the Church comes under greater and greater scrutiny while losing more and more of its influence in an ever-increasing cesspool of wickedness run amok. Losing a voice like Grant's saddens me because so few ever get the kind of audience he held for so many years. If we as Christians are going to have any voice in this world anymore, we're going to have to step our efforts up. We're going to have to take some cues from a life well-lived like Grant's.

The funeral service for Grant will be at 1 pm* at the Church on the Queensway, 1536 The Queensway, Toronto, Ontario on Friday, May 18. The procession will leave from the church. There are no details yet as to the time of the wake.

(* Some have suggested the time will be moved to 11am. Traffic is a major issue in Toronto, a city the size of LA, second only to NYC in size. We'll know later today whether that will happen.)

Here is the final info on Grant Jeffrey's funeral for anybody in the Toronto area:

Grant's wake and funeral are at the "Church on the Queensway" on Friday, May 18. The wake is at 11 am; the funeral service at 1 pm. The public is welcome to attend. The details of the service are still being finalized, but it is a safe bet that it will most likely last every bit of two hours. According to the organizers, "It will be an incredible service of thanks, gratefulness, praise and hope in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It will also honor the efforts that Grant spent his time on earth to further our Lord's kingdom, for the Lord's glory!"

Tonight (Thursday) at the family viewing at the funeral home, I told Kaye how honored, grateful and blessed I am that she included me in the services and activities for Grant's homecoming. The Graham and Jeffrey families together, are a tremendously loving family and I have never been around a family that are all collectively on the same page in their faith as they are. How wonderful to have witnessed the praises and thanks to Jesus continually throughout the evening from everyone. What was, of course, a very sad situation, ended up being a joyous occassion, because we know where Grant is and the glory was given all to whom it belongs, Jesus Christ. Tomorrow (Friday, the day of the wake and funeral) will be a celebration of life. Celebrating the life Grant had while he was here on earth and celebrating the new, eternal life he is now experiencing in Heaven. I will report on tomorrows events most likely tomorrow evening. It will be a long day, with activities from early morning to early evening. However, please continually keep Kaye and her family in your prayers.
