Israel: Obama 'naive' on Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood

Israel's National Security Council determined during an emergency meeting last week that US President Barack Obama is "naive" when it comes to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood and the dangers it poses.

The council, which exists to provide strategic assessments to the prime minister and his cabinet, met in Jerusalem for a discussion entitled "The Challenge of the Rise of the Muslim Brotherhood and its Offshoots."

The meeting was called as the Muslim Brotherhood was wrapping up its wildly successful showing in Egypt's first democratic election since the fall of former dictator Hosni Mubarak. With the votes from the third round of voting expected to be tallied soon, the Brotherhood is predicted to control at least 40 percent of the Egyptian parliament. The even more radical al-Nour party came in second place with 25-30 percent of the vote.

Less than a year ago, Obama, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other top American officials were brushing off the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists as a "fringe" movement within Egypt, and unlikely to win outright control in free elections. "They [the Muslim Brotherhood] don;t have majority support in Egypt," insisted Obama in early 2011.

When it became increasingly clear over the summer that the Muslim Brotherhood was emerging as Egypt's new dominant force, Obama's reaction was to "engage" the party that had once been shunned by Washington as a terrorist organization. Just last month, Obama dispatched Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator John Kerry to meet with Muslim Brotherhood leaders in Cairo.

Both Obama's initial reaction to fears of a Brotherhood takeover and his response once such a takeover became inevitable were "naive" and place the region at increased risk, warned Israel's National Security Council.

Since Israel cannot change the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, it is suggesting to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he focus on educating Obama and his government on the very real threat created by the Muslim Brotherhood's hijacking of Egypt's revolution.

Just this week, the Muslim Brotherhood's second in command told Arab media that once in power, his group will never recognize Israel and will work to undo the Camp David Accords, a policy that has the potential to unhinge what's left of regional stability.

I believe Obama is planning to force Sharia law into this country and with usher in the muslim brotherhood. God help this nation for we are all sinners and come so short of His Glory. I wait for Jesus to see Him in the clouds to bring me His Glory and Salvation.

Funny how history repeats itself. Liberals constantly defending Muslims and harping on how Islam is the "religion of peace"--just like they supported Hitler before World War II(Potemkin village).

I suppose the illustrious John Kerry is our version of Neville Chamberlain--can't you just see him waving a piece of paper around and saying, "I've spoken with the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood, and they've assured me that they have nothing but the best of intentions with regard to relations with our country and continued friendship with Israel. Why, they've even approved construction of a menora factory right in the heart of Egypt! I believe America has a friend in the Brotherhood. This document in my hands is their solemn pledge to play nice."

Obama, the born and raised Sunni Marxist Muslim apostate that he is, among others, are constantly pursuing the advancement the agenda of the globalists. I think this agenda mandates the inclusion of a large part of the Sunni Islamic sect to advance their "Abrahamic" world religion "covenant among many" agenda. The "sacrifice" or overall suppression of "Shi'a" Islamism (Iran and Hezbollah) and that brand of eschatology is a key element of the agenda currently in full exploitation mode. The Shi'a Hojjatieh regime in Iran is the next globalist victim because it is a direct threat to the overall agenda, as is true, born-again Christianity.

It's silly to assume that those in power aren't fully aware of what the MB stands for. The fact that the MB's current rise to power throughout the Middle East is not only being allowed but encouraged is no accident of ignorance.

IMHO the reason behind this is to back Israel into a corner and blackmail them into a dictated settlement of the Palestinian issue or face the consequences alone.

obama, like all others who do not understand the evil of ideological islamists, never see the danger, nor do they understand the resolve of such people. It's not too surprising, it is spiritually discerned and obama has no such discernment. Once they take the reigns of power it will be the last "democratic" elections Egypt is likely to ever see.

Same goes for every other former dictatorship nation that fell to the "arab spring". Radicalization is on the march, and it's not going back in the other direction. I wish it were just obama, but he is a symptom of the common disease. If people couldn't look at Egypt, will it's radical element, and not have a flashback to iran circa 1979 then they were being willfully ignorant.

Thanks be to God that He knows all and oversees every move, what wonderful confidence that gives to the heart of His people.

Surreal that he delivered this speech before people of like minds, and they all drank deeply from the same jug of koolaid. The naive nature of these people, thinking it's a wonderful, pro democracy movement, is stunning. The youthful, pro democracy people were nothing more than useful tools for islamists to cease power.

Your absolutely right! Remember when Obama said there was 57 states in the United States? Our Moslem president was actually thinking about the 57 nations represented in the Organization of Islamic conference. The 57 nations in the United Nations which constantly vote against Israel.
